Colorful GeForce GTX 1080 with reference design. Colorful has announced the launch of its GeForce GTX 1080 Founders Edition graphics card, which translates to the reference model created by Nvidia and which has already shown tremendous performance in preliminary testing.
Colorful GeForce GTX 1080 Founders Edition announced
The new Colorful GeForce GTX 1080 Founders Edition is equipped with an Nvidia Gp104 GPU consisting of 2, 560 CUDA cores with Pascal architecture and operating at a maximum frequency of 1, 733 MHz in its turbo mode. Accompanying the GPU we find 8 GB of GDDR5X video memory at a frequency of 10 GHz and a 256-bit interface to achieve a bandwidth of 320 GB / s. The new GeForce GTX 1080 promises to offer up to three times more performance than virtual reality generation, all with very low power consumption and a TDP of just 180W.

With this move Colorful joins the Inno3D, Gigabyte and Galax assemblers who have also announced their new GeForce GTX 1080 cards with reference design. If what you are expecting is a custom model for higher performance, you will still have to wait a few weeks to get a new graphics card with Nvidia's promising Pascal architecture.
