How to disable telemetry in the latest nvidia drivers
Table of contents:
In the latest updates to Nvdia's GeForce drivers, a new telemetry functionality was added, which sends 'anonymous' information from our team to the green company's servers.
The function is within the GeForce Experience and what it does is collect information from our hardware to send it directly to Nvidia. Why? Well, so that Nvidia can better optimize the parameters of the games based directly on the information of the users.
This would not be all, there are also certain functions that will now be active in the background, such as the ShadowPlay for video capture and the Nvidia wireless controller, both consuming resources that for most are unnecessary. This can affect performance in video games, so if you are not going to record video or want them to use information from your computer, there is an easy way to disable them.
Disabling telemetry on Nvidia controllers
The easiest method is to download and install the Microsoft Autoruns application.
First of all, we must open the application by running it in administrator mode, otherwise the changes will not be applied.
As indicated in the image above, we must filter the word Nvidia . What we are going to do is uncheck the boxes indicated in the screenshot, that way we will disable these functions, Telemetry, the wireless controller and ShadowPlay. We save the changes and voila.
