Uninstall programs that we don't use

It is the first basic step that we have to carry out. Many times, we have installed programs that do not help us or that we do not use. The best thing you can do is uninstall all the applications that you do not use or that do not serve you.

Sometimes when we install programs, we usually install adware, browser extensions, etc., for hitting "next" unread. That stays installed and puts extra workload on the PC.

Startup configuration

Many programs start automatically when we log in to Windows, which is a brutal workload. So, to remove that automatic start, we have to do the following:

Defragment your hard drive

This is usually never done, but it is very useful and helps our hard drive to function better. We have to defragment the hard drive to clean Windows properly.

We go to the Start Menu and write "Defragment". You will get an application called "Defragment and optimize hard disk ". In Windows 10, it seems that the hard disk on which the OS is installed is automatically defragmenting. However, the secondary ones do not. If our “fragmented” percentage is more than 0%, we must optimize it.

Download it here. When you go to install it, click on “ Customize ” and deselect what doesn't interest you.

Then you click install. At the end, you click "Run." This tool first scans and then cleans. We go to "Custom clean" and we give "Analyze". If it asks you to close Chrome, close it and continue.

When you're done, hit "Run Cleaner". The program will clean everything. You go to the Windows tab, within the same Custom Clean. Do the same. Now we go to the "Registry" menu , which is in the left column. We select all the options and we give "Scan for issues ". If you have never done it, many things will come out. Do not be overwhelmed. When it finishes scanning, we give "Fix selected issues". It will ask you if you want to make a copy, etc. I always say no. We give " Fix all selected issues ".

Last option: format and reinstall Windows

We downloaded the Media Creation Tool to make a bootable Pendrive . That is, install Windows on a Pendrive. We run it, select " create installation media " and select the Pendrive where we are going to install it. The program will format your Pendrive, so you will lose all the data you had. Windows 10 will be downloaded and installed on your Pendrive. After the process, we restart the PC. When the logo of the motherboard appears, we give the key that tells us to access the BIOS. When we access the BIOS, you have to change the boot boot, putting the Pendrive on which we have installed Windows 10 as the first boot disk. We save the configuration and restart. The Windows installer will start, we will do everything next until we get to " custom installation ". We chose that because we are going to format a hard disk. The dialogue with the hard disks that we have will appear. We select the hard disk that we want to format and we give the option " format ".

It only remains to select the same hard drive and install Windows 10 on it.
