Today we are going to see a very interesting topic on how to have two audio outputs at the same time in Windows 10. This theme is extremely important for users who want to use speakers and cases at the same time for example to play music at parties and rave and want their cases to hear the music they are playing through the main speakers.

Obviously this does not apply to users who have mixing consoles, since these already have factory-installed sonic cards capable of routing the signal to several connectors simultaneously.
There are tutorials in which they configure the microphone as listening devices (we will see later). In addition to the sound that we get is lousy, in most USB headphones this does not work. We propose the real solution for this matter
Windows 10 allows us to do this through a few tricks, depending on the devices we have connected and the sound card we have on our computer. We will do the demonstration with the hardware we have and it is possible that the options we touch will be slightly modified according to the possibilities of each one.
This is why we advise that this is not applicable to absolutely all users, but it is a very useful trick for normal desktops and laptops to get audio output in two different places.

To show you how we have carried out this demonstration, we would first like to point out what it is that we have connected to our team. In this way, each one can get an idea of how the options should be applied in each particular case.
The tests have been carried out with a device with a Realtek sound card integrated in the motherboard, to which we have connected a music system using a 3.5 mm jack (green for life)
In this sense, if we connected a device through the digital output of the sound card or a 5.1 device for example, this method would also be applicable. at least on paper
The other connections we have are:
- Wireless headphones connected to the computer via USB with separate software A PC monitor with HDMI connection. It is also applicable for devices with DisplayPort
Method to use speakers and cases at the same time in Windows 10
Well, let's see how to have two audio outputs at the same time in Windows 10. With these connections all active and properly connected to the equipment, we begin with the procedure:
- We go to the right area of the taskbar and right click on the sound icon. We choose the " sounds " option
- Once located in the window where the sound devices appear, we go to the " playback " tab. Right-click on the headphones and choose the option " Set as default communication device. " It will be left with a green icon with one telephone
- Now we must locate the icon corresponding to the speakers and make sure that it is configured as “ default sound device ”. In this case, a green icon will be shown with a V-shaped check.
In this tab we have already finished making the corresponding configurations
- Now we go to the " record " tab, where the first thing we have to do is activate the " Matting mix " icon It will have a card icon as a representation
- It will automatically go to the corresponding green check button. And the helmets will have the green phone icon
- Now we will click on the icon " Mixing mat " and click on " properties "
In the new window we go to the " Listen " tab and this is where the question kit is.
- We must activate the icon " Listen to this device " And now at the bottom we must open the drop-down list of " Play through this device " Now we must select the second output where we want the sound to be heard, in our case the headphones connected via USB
This way if we play something right now, we must listen to both the main speakers and our headphones. In addition, we can increase or decrease the voice independently with the sound equipment and the wheel of our helmets.
The sound may come with a little delay, but it will sound correctly.
Use two audio outputs at the same time with HDMI
If we remember, we also had an HDMI monitor with speakers connected to our equipment using HDMI. What we are going to do is now reproduce the sound simultaneously on the main speakers and on the monitor.
- In the " Play " tab we do not have to touch anything. Again in the " Record " tab we enter the properties of " Stereo Mix " and we are in " Listen " Now we open the drop-down list and select our monitor from the list
Now we will simultaneously listen to both devices.
To do this configuration we ALWAYS have to have the speakers connected to the sound card active as the default playback device
Well this is the way in which we have managed to have two audio outputs at the same time in Windows 10 and we have been able to use speakers and cases at the same time.
The configuration may vary depending on the sound reproduction devices that we have, although this configuration is perhaps the most common.
We could also do it with a microphone, configuring it as a listening device, but as usual the sound quality would be lousy.
