If yesterday we were talking about a new terminal of the DG family, belonging to the Doogee company, today we follow that path with an article that will feature the Doogee DG 550 and the one already known around here, the Doogee Voyager DG 300. These Chinese relatives have settled in the market as a proposal quite to take into account thanks to the fact that they are part of the range that we could qualify as Low Cost , especially in the case of Voyager, as we will see later. The two devices have their own features for terminals of higher ranges, so they have great appeal, although we better leave it to you to conclude whether or not they have good value for money. Technical characteristics:

Screens: Voyager's 5 inches are surpassed by the 5.5 inches that DG 550 presents. They also differ in resolution, being 1280 x 720 pixels in the case of the DG 550 and 960 x 540 pixels if we refer to the DG 300 . The two terminals share IPS technology, which gives them very bright colors and a wide viewing angle. In the case of DG 550, OGS technology also makes an appearance, which leads to energy savings.

Processors: these two relatives have a processor from the same manufacturer, with the M TK 6572 Dual core at 1.3 GHz accompanying the Voyager and the 1.7 GHz 8-core MediaTeK 6592 SoC who does the same with the DG 550 They also do not share a graphics chip: Mali - 400 MP for the DG 300 and Mali-450 by the DG 500. On the other hand, they also differ in their RAM memory, being 1 GB in the case of the 550 and 512 MB if we mean Voyager. The Android operating system in version 4.2.2. Jelly Bean is present in the Doogee 300, while Android in version 4.2.9 does the same with the Doogee 550.

Cameras: The DG 300 also loses in this regard, since it has a 5-megapixel main lens, compared to the 13 mega-pixels available for the DG 550, both with LED flash. Voyager and DG 550 front cameras have 2 megapixels and 5 megapixels respectively, very useful in any case to make video calls or selfies. Video recording is done in HD 720p quality at up to 30 fps in both cases .

Connectivity: the two terminals have connections that we are already used to like 3G, Bluetooth, Micro-USB or WiFi, without the 4G / LTE technology being present in any case.

Internal Memories: Voyager uses a single model for sale of 4 GB, while the DG 550 has a 16 GB model. The positive: both smartphones have a micro SD card slot up to 32 GB.

Batteries: the DG 550 and DG 300 have a capacity of 2600 mAh and 2500 mAh respectively. However, in relation to the rest of its characteristics, we must assume that Voyager will have greater autonomy.

Designs: The 140.2 mm high x 73 mm wide x 9.4 mm thick that make up Voyager make it a smaller but no thicker Smartphone than the DG 550, which has dimensions of 153 mm high x 76 mm wide x 6.5 mm thick and weighs 134 grams. It goes without saying that this terminal has a privileged thickness, in addition to presenting a body made of metal that gives it resistance and elegance. Voyager for its part has a housing made of resistant plastic. Both smartphones are available in black and white.

Availability and price:

Both smartphones can be found for sale on the pccomponents website at prices almost laughable, being 85 euros in the case of the Doogee Voyager DG 300 and 155 euros if we refer to the Doogee DG 550, which although it is something else expensive, still seems like a more than acceptable price.
