About HTC One and iPhone 5 we have already spoken at some point in Professional Review. Despite this, we have never compared them. Two high-performance phones face to face. Today's top-of-the-line smatphones from Apple and HTC are a good alternative to the ubiquitous Samsung. Now, what reasons do we have to choose one or the other? We are going to forget about the classic list of specifications and we are going to give compelling reasons.

Reasons why to choose an HTC One

HTC has done a great job with its HTC One. In addition, it has a mini version, which is very far in terms of quality from the mini version of the Galaxy S4. Now, if we put it face to face with the iPhone 5, there are plenty of reasons to choose this one.

Without also getting fully into the specifications (then I leave you a table), what is clear is that the iPhone 5 has undoubtedly lagged behind in time compared to its rival, the HTC One.

Size does not matter

The key difference from the Apple universe and any other ecosystem, such as the Android one that the HTC One uses, is that it is tremendously closed. And while we sacrifice things like personalization and installing third-party apps not approved by Apple, we have advantages we won't find on an HTC or any Android phone.

For example, despite the fact that all applications are previously approved by Apple and we cannot escape these standards, the App Store has many more applications than the Android store, in addition to being much better and some exclusively. Another important factor is the optimization of the system. An iPhone 4 with the latest version of the iOS system can be much faster than some current phones. This is because Apple releases a specific and optimized version of its system for each model.

To top it off, you have four years of guaranteed operating system updates. That is very attractive, since in Android it largely depends on the manufacturer having the latest version. However, Apple has very strict standards in this regard. Besides, the Apple ecosystem, despite being expensive, unites several devices in a perfect way. The combination of iPhone, iPad and Mac is by far the best. Apple sells a beautiful phone, which does not need to be the most powerful and sells a much better experience than its competitors.

The conclusion this time is clear, and almost the same as when comparing any terminal with an iPhone. Are you looking for power, customization and total freedom, or do you just want to have many applications and that everything works if more? Prices in this case are similar. 669 euros for the iPhone 5 of 16 GB and 639 euros for the HTC. If you don't want to touch the look of your phone and want everything to be simple, iPhone 5 is your phone.
