Comparison: motorola moto g vs htc one
Let's continue comparing the Motorola Moto G mid-range with other models on the market. This time the turn has come to HTC One. Throughout this comparison we will see which of the two smartphones is more profitable for our pocket, always taking into account its benefits. Let us go on to detail its characteristics:
We will start with its screens: the Moto G has 4.5 inches and a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels; the HTC One for its part presents a 4.7-inch capacitive Super LCD3 screen and a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. The anti-scratch protection of the Moto G and the One model are manufactured by the Corning company: Gorilla Glass 3 and Gorilla Glass 2 respectively.
Processors: Although they correspond to the same manufacturer, one model has more power than the other, since the Moto G has a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 SoC and Adreno 305 graphics chip, while the HTC One presents Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 quad-core 1.7 GHz and Adreno 320. The model of the HTC company also has more RAM than the model manufactured by Motorola: 1 GB and 2 GB respectively. The operating system is the same but in different versions: for Moto G we have Android 4.3 Jelly Bean and 4.1.2 Jelly Bean for One.
Let's continue with the design: the Moto G has dimensions of 129.9 mm high × 65.9 mm wide × 11.6 mm thick and weighs 143 grams, while the HTC One is 137, 4 mm high x 68.2 mm wide x 9.3 mm thick and weighs 143 grams. The mass is the same on both phones because they compensate each other for the thickness of one and the size of the other. The HTC model has a case made of a single piece (unibody) of aluminum with polycarbonate support, which is very good to the touch and grip. The Moto G instead has two types of casing in the event of an accident: the " Grip Shell " that surrounds the terminal and the " Flip Shell ", which completely encloses the device, although it has a front opening for easy screen handling.
Now it's up to its internal memory: in the case of the HTC One, we are talking about a terminal that has three different types for sale based on its ROM: one of 16 GB, another of 32 GB and another of 64 GB. This memory is not expandable, since it does not have a card slot. The Moto G does not have this feature either, so it has two models on the market, although with less capacity, at least one of them: 8 GB and 16 GB.
As for its connectivity, nothing special to review. They both lack the relatively new 4G technology and feature very basic connections like 3G, Bluetooth, or WiFi.
Let's continue with the cameras: the Motorola Moto G presents a 5 MP sensor as its rear lens, while the HTC One is made up of a 4 MP sensor with Ultra-pixel technology, that is, pixels with a size of 2 microns (the average between smartphones is 1.1 microns) and aperture f / 2.0. Video recording is done at 1080p HD and even captures Slow Motion in the case of the HTC One, while the Moto G does it at 720p and 30fps. What they do have in common are some functions, such as autofocus, geo-tagging, the LED flash, among others. The front lens present in the HTC is 2.1 MP with wide angle and video calls at 1080p, while the Moto G stays at 1.3 megapixels, although they are also useful for video conferences and self-portraits.
Its batteries are very similar: the Moto G has a capacity of 2070 mAh and the HTC One 2300 mAh. However, it is expected that the autonomy of the Moto G may be somewhat greater, since the HTC One is a more powerful device and therefore entails a higher expense. In any case we cannot forget that all this will depend on the use that is given to the smartphone.
WE RECOMMEND YOU Motorola Moto E: Technical characteristics, availability and price. To finish, its prices: the Motorola Moto G is slightly below 200 euros (we have found it in amazon for 175 euros, free and in presale), making it succulent for anyone looking for an inexpensive terminal with medium benefits. The HTC One is a more powerful terminal and therefore much more expensive too: we have been taking a look at pc components and we have found it free for 495 euros of 32 GB and free in silver. In black it comes out for 479 euros.
