Table of contents:
On this occasion we end the week with a comparison between the Chinese Lenovo A850 terminal and another of the greats of the Galaxy family: the Samsung Galaxy Note 2. Both terminals coincide in several characteristics, also having other specifications that will make their differences. Once all these qualities have been exposed and we know their costs, the time will come for you to assess which one has the best value for money. Let the battle begin !:
Technical characteristics:
Screens: You could say that they are identical thanks to the 5.5 inches of the Lenovo and the 5.55 inches of the Note 2. They differ in terms of resolution, being 960 x 540 pixels in the case of the A850 and 1280 x 720 pixels in the case of the Galaxy. Lenovo's IPS technology gives it a wide viewing angle and vivid colors. The Note, meanwhile, features super AMOLED technology, reflecting less sunlight, with higher brightness and lower power consumption.
Processors: The Samsung model features a 1.6GHz quad-core SoC and a Mali - 400MP GPU. Its RAM memory is 2 GB. The Lenovo has a Mediatek MT6582M Cortex A-7 Quadcore CPU running at 1.3 GHz, which is accompanied by a GPU from the same manufacturer as the Note: Mali-400MP2. It has half the RAM memory that the Samsung model: 1 GB. They also share the same operating system in practically the same version: Android 4.1 Jelly Bean for Note 2 and Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean in the case of Lenovo.
Cameras: The front lens of the Galaxy has 8 megapixels, some more than that of the Lenovo, which stays at 5 megapixels, both with LED flash. The Note also has an autofocus function and BSI technology, which allows us to take good quality snapshots even in low light conditions. As for the front cameras, the VGA sensor of the A850 is surpassed by the 1.9 megapixels that the Samsung model presents, which nevertheless will come in handy when making video calls and selfies. Video recording is done in Full HD 1080p quality at 30 fps in the case of Note 2.
Connectivity: in the case of the Note 2 we are talking about a phone that presents, in addition to the most basic connections such as WiFi, 3G and Bluetooth, LTE / 4G technology, something that does not happen with Lenovo.
Internal Memory: Lenovo has a single terminal for sale of 4 GB, while the Note 2 has two models on the market: one of 16 GB and the other of 32 GB. Both smartphones have a microSD card slot , up to 32 GB in the case of Lenovo and up to 64 GB if we refer to the Note 2.
Batteries: regarding this feature, the Note 2 is well above its 3100 mAh capacity, compared to the 2250 mAh that the Lenovo battery presents, so we can affirm that the Samsung terminal will have greater autonomy.
Designs: The Lenovo features dimensions of 153.5 mm high x 79.3 mm wide x 9.5 mm thick, being minimally larger than the Note 2 and its 151.1 mm high x 80.5 mm wide x 9.4 mm thick and 180 grams. The Samsung terminal has a rough metallic stripe on the sides that is attached to a plastic casing with a leather-like feel, giving it an elegant appearance. The Lenovo instead features a sturdy plastic body, in two models, white or black.
Availability and price:
The Lenovo can be found on Amazon for a price of 158 euros, VAT included. The Samsung Galaxy Note 2, is currently for sale for a price that exceeds 300 euros. The difference is mainly in the color, memory, etc., and of course the place where we buy it.
