Table of contents:
Here we return with the Chinese terminal Lenovo A850, which will be measured this time with the current flagship of Samsung: the Samsung Galaxy S5. As we will see, the Samsung model surpasses and by far some of the characteristics of the Lenovo, but our mission is not to decide which of them is the best Smartphone, that may be more or less clear, but we must comply with the purpose of making known which of them presents a better relationship in terms of quality and price, whether or not their costs are in proportion to the quality of their specifications. For this, there is nothing better than spending a few minutes on this article, from start to finish, and then being able to comment on it. Stay tuned we started:
Technical characteristics:
Designs: The S5 has dimensions of 142 mm high x 72.5 mm wide x 8.1 mm thick and weighs 145 grams, turning out to be smaller than the Lenovo, which has dimensions of 153.5 mm high x 79.3 mm width x 9.5 mm thickness. The Galaxy features a rear with small perforations that provide comfort in the grip. Its IP67 certificate makes it a waterproof and dustproof terminal. The fingerprint scanner gives you great security. We can find it available in white, black, gold and blue. The Lenovo's plastic body gives it some protection from bumps. It is only available in white and black.
Screens: they do not coincide neither in size nor in resolution, being 5.5 inches in 960 x 540 pixels resolution in the case of the Chinese terminal, and 5.1 inches with 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution in the case of the Galaxy S5. The Lenovo display features IPS technology, giving it highly defined colors and an almost full viewing angle. The S5 for its part has super AMOLED technology , which allows it to consume less energy, have more brightness and reflect less sunlight. The Corning Gorilla Glass 3 crystal is in charge of protecting it against bumps and scratches.
Processors: The Lenovo features a Mediatek MT6582M Cortex A-7 Quadcore CPU running at 1.3 GHz, which is accompanied by a Mali-400MP2 graphics chip and 1 GB of RAM. The Galaxy S5 has a 2.5 GHz Quad-core SoC and Adreno 330 GPU, which will allow us to enjoy a great visual experience and better performance. It contains a 2 GB RAM memory. The Android operating system in version 4.4.2. KitKat is present in the Galaxy, while Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean does the same with the A850.
Cameras: in this aspect, the Galaxy S5 wins by a megapixel win thanks to its main objective containing 16, while the Lenovo remains at 5 megapixels. The Samsung also includes functions such as Selective Focus (clearly capturing that you want, giving depth and professionalism to your snapshots), higher speed between shots and shots, and a very accurate light sensor. As for the front sensors, the same thing happens: the VGA sensor of the A850 is surpassed by the 2 megapixels that the S5 presents . The two phones make video recordings, being in UHD 4K quality at 30 fps if we talk about the Galaxy S5.
Connectivity: while the Lenovo manages with connections such as WiFi, 3G or Bluetooth, the Galaxy S5 goes one step further and incorporates 4G / LTE connectivity, typical of high-end smartphones, among its networks.
Internal memory: the A850 has a single model for sale with only 4 GB of ROM, a capacity that can be seen increased to 32 GB thanks to its microSD card slot. The S5 for its part has a 16 GB and a 32 GB model on the market, expanding its memory in the same way as the Lenovo but in this case up to no more and no less than 128 GB.
WE RECOMMEND YOU Comparison: Jiayu S1 vs LG Nexus 5Batteries: This is another of the characteristics in which the Galaxy S5 surpasses the Lenovo, with both batteries having 2800 mAh and 2250 mAh of capacity respectively, so we can imagine that the autonomy of the Samsung model is superior.
Availability and price:
The Lenovo can be found on Amazon for a price of 158 euros, VAT included.. The Galaxy for its part is a high quality terminal, which makes it a very expensive device, being able to find it on the website of pccomponentes for prices that range between 519 - 539 euros depending on the color and version of 16 GB.
