Here we have the first "combat" of our newcomer Lenovo A850, which could not be with anyone other than his compatriot Xiaomi Redmi Note, with which he shares some characteristics. Once we have exposed the specifications of one and the other Smartphone, it will be your turn to check which one has the best value for money. This 100% Chinese duel is interesting…

Technical characteristics:

Designs: The Xiaomi has dimensions of 154 mm high x 78.7 mm wide x 9.45 mm thick, which are practically identical to those of the Lenovo with its 153.5 mm high x 79.3 mm width x 9.5 mm thickness. Both smartphones have a body made of resistant plastic, being white on the back and black on the front for the Xiaomi, and white or full black for the Lenovo.

Screens: 5.5 inches is the size of each screen of these two terminals, although they differ in resolution, being 1280 x 720 pixels in the case of the Xiaomi and 960 x 540 pixels in the case of the A850. They also share IPS technology, which gives them a wide viewing angle and highly defined colors.

Cameras: In this aspect, the Xiaomi gives a real review to the Lenovo with its 13 megapixels and 5 megapixels of primary lens, respectively, both with LED flash. As for the front cameras, the difference is more than evident thanks to the 5 megapixels presented by the Redmi and the VGA sensor (0.3 megapixels) of the A850. Both smartphones have the option to record video, which in the case of the Note is made in 1080p quality.

Processors: The Xiaomi has two different models for sale: one with a Mediatek 6592 Octa-core CPU that runs at 1.4 GHz, and another with the same processor but that runs at 1.7 GHz. They present the same graphics chip: Mali-450, but different RAM memory: 1 GB and 2 GB respectively. The Lenovo for its part has a Mediatek MT6582M Cortex A-7 Quadcore SoC that operates at 1.3 GHz, accompanied by a Mali-400MP2 graphics chip. It has 1 GB of RAM memory. As for the operating system, the Xiaomi presents MIU V5, (based on 4.2 Jelly Bean) and the A850 is accompanied by Android in version 4.2.2 Jelly Bean.

Connectivity: the two smartphones do not have more connections than the most basic ones, such as W iFi, 3G or Bluetooth , without the 4G / LTE support being present in any case.

Internal Memory: the two phones have a single model for sale, which in the case of Lenovo remains at 4 GB and if we refer to the Note we are talking about 8 GB of ROM. What they do agree on is its expandability through microSD cards, being up to 32 GB in both cases.

Batteries: in this aspect the Xiaomi has to win with its 3, 200 mAh of capacity compared to the 2, 250 mAh of capacity presented by the Lenovo battery. The difference between their autonomies will be noticed.

Availability and price:

The Xiaomi is available depending on the model for 160 - 170 euros (in the case of 1.4 GHz and 1 GB of RAM) and hovering around 200 euros in the case of 1.7 GHz and 2 GB of RAM. As for the Lenovo, we can find it on Amazon for a price of 158 euros, VAT included.
