Anonim

Well, well, what do we have here? For a long time now, the Motorola Moto G has passed through our hands, today it is the turn of its older brother, the Moto X, who to our surprise will measure his strength, face to face! The Moto X is a terminal of great qualities that we are sure will not go unnoticed by the market and to which more than one will be willing to throw a glove, although our beloved and appreciated Moto G will demonstrate that it does not get bogged down by anything and will face it with great dignity. In Professional Review we have anticipated its launch date in Spain (the Moto X, we mean) and we bring you in detail each of the specifications of this new smartphone that will surely give a lot to talk about. We start:

Screens: The Motorola Moto X's screen is slightly larger thanks to its 4.7 inches, compared to the 4.5 inches that the Moto G presents. They do share the same resolution: 1280 x 720 pixels. The Moto G 's screen is TFT, while the Moto X's features AMOLED technology, which It allows you to have more brightness, reflect less sunlight and consume less energy. To protect itself from bumps and scratches, the Moto X uses the glass manufactured by the company Corning Gorilla Glass.

Cameras: main 10-megapixel lens with f / 2.4 focal aperture that together with the clear pixel sensor makes the camera receive 75% more light, something to keep in mind when taking photos in low-light environments. Other functions: autofocus, LED flash, geo-tagging, quick capture, panorama mode, face and smile detection. Its front camera is 2 megapixels. Video recording is done in Full HD 1080p at 30 fps. The Moto G features a smaller 5-megapixel primary lens, It also has an f / 2.4 aperture and LED flash. Its front camera is also uneven due to its 1.3 megapixels, although equally useful for taking a photo that serves as a profile on social networks or enjoying video calls. Video recording, in the case of the Moto G, is done in HD 720p quality at 30 fps.

Processors: they coincide at the manufacturer but are of a different model, turning out to be a 1.7GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon Kait 300 S oC for the Moto X and a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 CPU for the Moto G. Both also have an Adreno graphics chip, type 320 in the case of the Moto X and 305 if we refer to the Moto G. The RAM is 2 GB for the Motorola X and 1 GB for the Motorola G. Their operating systems are Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean and Android 4.3 Jelly Bean (for which an update is expected this year) respectively.

Designs: Regarding size, the Moto X has dimensions of 129.3 mm high x 65.3 mm wide x 10.4 mm thick. Thanks to the use of a website called Moto Maker we can customize the colors of the case of our Motorola before we get hold of it. We can choose between multiple types of casing, including a wooden one in four options: teak, bamboo, ebony and rosewood, and some 18 different colors, the front being white or black. The Motorola Moto G has a very similar size, although slightly larger in every way with its 129.9 mm high x 65.9 mm wide and 11.6 mm thick. Its weight is 143 grams and it has very sophisticated protections: we can buy a protective shell against knocks, known as the " Grip Shell ". Its small "stops" make it easy to place the smartphone face down, as it prevents possible scratches. On the other hand, the “ Flip Shell ” can also be ours, another casing that allows the device to be closed completely and which consists of an opening on the screen to be able to use it without any problem.

Batteries: practically the same, that of the Moto X manages with 2200 mAh while that of the Moto G has a non-removable 2070 mAh capacity, hence it presents an external battery kit.

Internal Memories: both phones have a 16 GB model for sale, although on the Moto G we have another 8 GB and on the Moto X another 32 GB. Both lack a micro SD card slot but have free 50GB storage on Google Drive for two years.

Connectivity: both terminals have basic connections that we are used to like WiFi, 3G, Bluetooth or FM radio, although we also have 4G / LTE support in the case of Moto X.

Availability and price: this terminal can be ours from the Amazon website, where they have it in pre-sale for 399 euros. As for the Motorola Moto G we can find it freely for 179 euros if it is the smartphone with 8 GB of capacity and for 199 euros if we talk about the 16 GB model. We can conclude by saying that it is an acceptable performance phone at a more than affordable price.
