Comparison: xiaomi mi 4 vs google nexus 4
Table of contents:
With this article we begin the final stretch of comparisons that have the main protagonist Xiaomi Mi 4, and we do it against one of the greats of Google: the Nexus 4. Throughout the article we will be checking as in most of the features but in all, one terminal stands out over the other, although neither of them earns our demerit since, despite everything, they are two large terminals. However, once we reveal its current price we will be able to draw a more accurate conclusion on which of them has the best value for money. We start:
Technical characteristics:
Designs: The Nexus is 133.9mm tall × 68.7mm wide × 9.1mm thick, making it slightly smaller than the Xiaomi and its 139.2mm tall x 68.5mm wide x 8.9mm thick. The Nexus features a glass back where a holographic texture has been placed that gives it a feeling of relief, even if it is smooth. It is resistant without protection, although it will be best not to check its real resistance to falls. The Mi 4 for its part has a plastic body reinforced by a stainless steel frame. It is available in white color.
Cameras: The 8 megapixels that contain the Nexus main objective are not enough to reach the 13 megapixels that accompany the Xiaomi, both with LED flash. The Google phone also has the possibility of taking photos in any direction and then join them in incredible spherical and enveloping snapshots. They also present an obvious difference between their front cameras, being 1.3 megapixels in the case of the Nexus and an incredible 8 megapixels if we refer to the Xiaomi. Video recordings are made in Full HD 1080p resolution at 30 fps if we talk about the Google Smartphone and in 4K resolution if we refer to the Mi 4.
Screens: the Xiaomi is a little larger, 5 inches, compared to the 4.95 inches that the Nexus 4 presents. Its resolutions are also different: 1920 x 1080 pixels in the case of the Mi 4 and 1280 x 768 pixels if we talk about the Nexus 4. IPS technology is present in both terminals, so they are endowed with highly defined colors and an almost complete viewing angle. The glass manufactured by the company Corning Gorilla Glass 2 is responsible for protecting the Nexus screen from bumps and scratches.
Processors: although they belong to the same manufacturer, they have different models, since the Nexus 4 brings with it a quad-core Qualcomm SnapdragonTM S4 SoC that works at 1.5 GHz and the Xiaomi has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 Quad-core CPU that works at 2.5 GHz. The same happens with its graphics chips, both terminals having Adreno GPUs, model 320 in the case of the Nexus and model 330 if we refer to MI 4. Its and Adreno 320 GPU. Its RAM memory is 2 GB and 3 GB respectively . The Android 4.2 Jelly Bean operating system is present in the Google terminal, while MIUI 6 (based on 4.4.2) does the same with the Chinese terminal.
Internal memories: both smartphones have a 16 GB model for sale, although in the case of the Nexus 4 there is also another 8 GB terminal, and another 64 GB if we refer to the Xiaomi. Both devices lack a microSD card slot.
Connectivity: both terminals have basic networks such as 3G , WiFi , Micro-USB or Bluetooth , with LTE / 4G technology being present in the case of the Mi 4 .
WE RECOMMEND YOU Xiaomi IP cameras share images of other users by mistakeBatteries: The 2100 mAh capacity of the Nexus 4 is well below the 3080 mAh that the Xiaomi presents, which will have greater autonomy.
Availability and price:
The Xiaomi terminal (16 GB model) is available in Spain through the website of its official distributor (xiaomiespaña.com) for a price of 381 euros. We can find the Nexus 4 for 329 euros (white, 16 GB) on the pccomponentes website.
