Comparison: xiaomi mi 4 vs google nexus 5
Table of contents:
And in the afternoon of today we put an end to the comparisons that face the Xiaomi's flagship, the Xiaomi Mi 4, with other terminals of the competition. To finish, the Google flagship will also accompany us: the Google Nexus 5. It goes without saying that both terminals have excellent characteristics, in the case of the Nexus also with a well-established reception in the market thanks to its quality and performance. But let's not underestimate the Chinese device, which also has great specifications, in some cases also - if not all - superior to those of the Nexus. But let's not stay with that, the important thing here is to really know which of these smartphones best suits our needs and also check whether or not it has the best value for money. We are all? Let's start:
Technical characteristics:
Designs: The Xiaomi has a size of 139.2 mm high x 68.5 mm wide x 8.9 mm thick and weighs 149 grams, while the Nexus has minimally lower dimensions of 137.84 mm high × 69.17 mm wide × 8.59 mm thick and weighing 130 grams. The Chinese terminal features a plastic body reinforced by a stainless steel frame. It is for sale in white. The Nexus for its part has a plastic back, which makes it comfortable to the touch and makes it easier to grip. We can find it for sale in white on the back and black on the front or completely black.
Screens: The 5 inches of the Xiaomi is almost a minimum higher than that of the Nexus, which has 4.95 inches. They do coincide in their resolution, which are 1920 x 1080 pixels in both cases. They also have in common the fact of presenting IPS technology, so they have a great viewing angle and very vivid colors. On the part of the Google Smartphone we must add that it presents protection against bumps and scratches thanks to the glass manufactured by Corning: Gorilla Glass 3.
Processors: They coincide in the manufacturer of the SoC but the model varies, since the Nexus presents Quad-core Qualcomm SnapdragonTM 800 that works at 2.26 GHz, while the Mi 4 has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 Quad-core CPU that works at 2.5 GHz. They do have the same graphics chip (Adreno 330) but they differ in their RAM memory (2 GB in the case of the Nexus 5 and 3 GB if we talk about the Xiaomi). The Android 4.4 Kit Kat operating system accompanies the Google terminal, while that MIUI 6 (based on Android 4.4.2) does the same with Mi 4.
Cameras: in this aspect the Xiaomi has an advantage thanks to its main 13 megapixel lens, while the Nexus has 8 megapixels, both with autofocus and LED flash, among other functions. With its front cameras the same thing happens: the Google device has 2.1 megapixels, falling well below the 8 megapixels that the Mi 4 presents . The video recording is done in Full HD 1080p quality at 30 fps, while The Chinese terminal supports 4K resolution.
Internal memory: these two smartphones coincide in having a 16 GB terminal for sale, although they also present another 32 GB in the case of the Nexus and another 64 GB if we refer to the Xiaomi. Neither device has the possibility of expanding its storage, since they lack a microSD card slot.
Batteries: the 3080 mAh that the Xiaomi battery has are well above the 2300 mAh of capacity that accompany the Nexus 5. This difference will be noted in their autonomies.
WE RECOMMEND YOU The Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite launches outside China on October 17Connectivity: both terminals have networks such as 3G , Micro-USB , WiFi or Bluetooth , as well as LTE / 4G technology .
Availability and price:
The 16 GB terminal is available in Spain through the website of its official distributor (xiaomiespaña.com) for a price of 381 euros, while the Nexus 5 can currently be found on the website of pccomponentes for a price that ranges from 299 euros and 309 euros (16 GB model), depending on the color.
