Comparison: xiaomi mi3 vs bq aquaris 5 hd
Today we will face the already known in these parts, Xiaomi Mi3, against a smartphone with a 100% Spanish seal. We are talking about the BQ Aquaris 5 HD, a terminal that stands out for its good value for money. Throughout the article we will check which of the two terminals are more suited to our needs or is more profitable for the pocket, always taking into account if their specifications and amount are in proportional harmony. We begin:
Screens: Both screens have a size of 5 inches although they differ in resolution, being 1920 x 1080 pixels in the case of the Xiaomi and 1280 x 720 pixels if we refer to the BQ . In addition, both have IPS technology, which gives them a wide viewing angle and very defined colors. The Chinese model, meanwhile, also has Corning Gorilla Glass protection.
Processors: The difference between their CPUs and GPUs is truly remarkable: we have Qualcomm Snapdragon 8274AB 4-core at 2.3GHz and Adreno 330 by the Xiaomi, and a Quad Core Cortex A7 SoC at 1.2 GHz with PowerVR Series5 SGX544 graphics chip in the case of the Spain brand. The Xiaomi's RAM is 2 GB, while that of the Aquaris 5 HD turns out to be 1 GB. Its operating system is MIUI v5, based on Android 4.1 and internationally recognized for its high customization, efficiency and stability. The Aquaris is accompanied by Android 4.2 Jelly Bean.
Designs: the Xiaomi Mi3 has a smaller size of 114 mm high x 72 mm wide x 8.1 mm thick, very thin considering the battery of this phone. It is made of an aluminum-magnesium alloy, and it also has a graphite thermal film that achieves better heat dissipation. The BQ for its part has a size of 141.8 mm high x 71 mm wide x 9.1 mm thick and weighs 170 grams. The novelty with respect to the normal Aquaris 5 is its thickness, managing to be a little thinner thanks to the 0.8 mm less it presents.
Batteries: The Xiaomi starts with the advantage of having 3050 mAh, compared to the 2100 mAh that the Aquaris presents, which, having less power, will have an autonomy that will not go unnoticed.
Internal Memories: both phones have a model on the market of 16 GB, although in the case of the Chinese model we must add that it has another 64 GB for sale. However, the Spanish terminal has a micro SD card slot of up to 64 GB, a feature that is not present in the case of the Xiaomi.
Cameras: The battle for megapixels is won by the Xiaomi with its 13-megapixel Sony Exmor RS sensor, compared to the 8-megapixel Aquaris 5 HD. The Chinese model presents as functions to add a Philips dual LED flash, which improves the intensity of light by 30%, allowing higher shutter speeds, while if we talk about the Spain brand we will say that it has a proximity sensor, from brightness, Dolby ™ sound technology and autofocus. The front lenses of the Xiaomi and the BQ have 2 and 1.2 megapixels respectively, which also in the case of the Chinese model is backlit and wide-angle. They are also trained for video recording.
Connectivity: both devices have basic connections that we are used to like WiFi, 3G, Bluetooth or FM radio.
Availability and price: The general evaluation that we can make of the Xiaomi Mi3 is excellent. And is that, taking into account that its price ranges between € 299 for the 16GB model and € 380 for the 64GB model of internal memory, we have a battery and a camera on the phone that we do not find on Smartphone that double the price of East. That it does not have a memory card can put you back a little, but if you opt for the 16 GB model or, if you prefer, for the 64 GB version, you will have enough space to store thousands of photos, songs, programs, movies and series on your Xiaomi Mi3. The Bq Aquaris 5 HD can be found on its official website for 199.90 euros, starting price also for the standard Aquaris 5, which have been forced to reduce its cost by 20 euros (179.90 euros) to maintain both devices in the market. By selling free, we can adapt it to the conditions we have with our operator.
