Comparison: xiaomi mi3 vs jiayu g5
Here is another example of a 100% Chinese comparison. Today we will measure the forces of our Xiaomi Mi 3 against those of the Jiayu G5. We are talking about two terminals from China, which are not very high in cost and have very competitive features and are characteristic of higher ranges. As we go through the document and once we reach the end, we will check if the difference between their prices is proportional to their quality relationships. We begin:
Screens: We have 5 inches of 1920 x 1080 pixels in the case of the Xiaomi, while the Jiayu has 4.5 inches of 1280 x 720 pixels. Both phones also feature highly defined colors and a wide viewing angle thanks to their IPS technology . The screen of the Jiayu on the other hand also has Gorilla Glass 2 protection and that of the Mi3 with Gorilla Glass.
Cameras: both smartphones have a 13-megapixel main lens, which in the case of the Xiaomi is made by Sony Exmor RS, with a dual Philips LED flash, which improves light intensity by 30%, allowing faster shutter speeds high. The G5 for its part has a gravity, proximity and light sensor. As for the front camera, the Jiayu plays with an advantage with its 3 megapixels compared to the 2 megapixels of the Xiaomi, although it is backlit and wide-angle.
Processors: The Qualcomm Snapdragon 8274AB 4-core 2.3GHz CPU and the Adreno 330 graphics chip are available on the Xiaomi, which offers us a great visual experience and good performance. The Jiayu features a 1.5GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6589T SoC and a GPU IMGSGX544. The Xiaomi's RAM memory coincides with that of the Advanced model of the Jiayu, presenting in both cases 2 GB, while the basic model of the G5 has only 1 GB. On the other hand, the operating system that accompanies the Xiaomi is none other than the MIUI v5, based on Android 4.1 and internationally recognized for its high customization, efficiency and stability. The Jiayu pairs with Android 4.2 Jelly Bean.
Internal Memory: its internal memories are completely different, since the Xiaomi has two models on the market, one of 16 GB and the other of 32 GB of ROM, the Jiayu does the same with a Basic model of 4 GB and the Advanced model that presents 32 GB. The Jiayu also brings with it the possibility of expanding its memory to 64 GB through a microSD card, a feature that the Xiaomi lacks.
Designs: Regarding size, a very important aspect to know about the manageability of the Xiaomi Mi3, this Smartphone has dimensions of 114 mm high x 72 mm wide x 8.1 mm thick. Especially surprising is the 8.1 mm thickness, as it is very thin considering the battery of this phone. Manufactured in an aluminum-magnesium alloy, it allows an ultra-thin design and thanks to its graphite thermal film it achieves better heat dissipation. The Jiayu G5 with its 130 mm high x 63.5 mm wide x 7.9 mm thick, we can say that it is taller than the Xiaomi, but it is narrower and thinner. Its casing has a metallic and resistant finish, which also reminds us of other terminals such as the LG Optimus Black or the iPhone.
Batteries: While the two models of the Jiayu have a 2000 mAh capacity battery, the Xiaomi goes up to 3050 mAh. Both smartphones will have a very remarkable battery, especially if we talk about the Xiaomi.
Connectivity: the two phones have very common connections such as WiFi, 3G, Bluetooth or FM radio. 4 G / LTE technology is conspicuous by its absence in both cases.
Availability and price: The general evaluation that we can make of the Xiaomi Mi3 is excellent. And is that, taking into account that its price ranges between € 299 for the 16GB model and € 380 for the 64GB model of internal memory, we have a battery and a camera on the phone that we do not find on Smartphone that double the price of East. That it does not have a memory card can put you back a little, but if you opt for the 16 GB model or, if you prefer, for the 64 GB version, you will have enough space to store thousands of photos, songs, programs, movies and series on your Xiaomi Mi3. As for the Jiayu G5, we have dropped by its official page in Spain and we can get the normal model in black for 239 euros and if we opt for the Advanced model we will pay 290 euros.
