Comparison: xiaomi mi3 vs samsung galaxy note 3
This time it is up to a Samsung Grande to face the Xiaomi Mi3. We are talking about the Galaxy Note 3, a smartphone with excellent features that is not available to anyone. Throughout the comparison, each of the specifications that accompany these terminals will be exposed, so that in the end and as always we can see if their quality justifies the amount they ask us to be able to get each of them. In short, to check if its quality / price ratio is good, bad or admissible. Very attentive:
Screens: the Xioami has a size of 5 inches and IPS technology, which gives it an almost complete viewing angle and highly defined colors. The Note 3 has 5.7 inches super AMOLED , which is characterized by having more brightness, reflecting less sunlight and consuming less energy. It does share the same Full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. The Xioami Mi3 uses Corning Gorilla Glass to protect your screen from bumps and scratches.
Processors: They share CPUs from the same manufacturer although different models, with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8274AB 4-core 2.3GHz accompanying the Chinese model and Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 quad-core 2.3 GHz that do the same with the Note 3. They coincide in graphics chip, being Adreno 330 in both cases. The RAM memory present in the Mi3 is 2 GB, while the Galaxy is covered by 3 GB. The operating systems present in the Xiaomi and Note 3 are MIUI v5 (based on Android 4.1) and Android 4.3 Jelly Bean respectively.
Batteries: the Xiaomi's huge 3050 mAh capacity battery, hardly surpassed by any other terminal, is surpassed by the 3, 200 mAh that the Note 3 battery contains . In principle the autonomy of the Note 3 could be slightly higher, although it always comes well remember that depending on what we play, play videos or some other function that requires a large energy expenditure, this autonomy will be greater or less, regardless of capacity.
Connectivity: both devices have basic connections such as 3G, WiFi or Bluetooth, although the Note 3 also offers LTE / 4G support .
Internal Memories: the Xiaomi Mi3 has a model for sale of 16 GB and another of 64 GB. The Samsung model has another 32 GB. The Note 3 features a microSD card slot of up to 64 GB, a feature that the Chinese device does not have.
Camera: both terminals have a 13 megapixel sensor, which in the case of the Xiaomi we are talking about one made by Sony Exmor RS that features a dual Philips LED flash, which improves the intensity of light by 30%, allowing shutter speeds higher. The one in Note 3 has autofocus, a CRI LED flash and Smart Stabilization, which allows you to take high-quality photos even in low light. Both also have a 2 megapixel front lens, which is backlit and wide-angle by the Chinese model. The Samsung model also makes video recordings in Full HD 1080p quality, even being able to make them in 4K (3840 x 2160 pixels frame size). To enjoy 100% of this feature we would have to have a monitor capable of displaying such a large number of pixels, like Samsung's UHDs.
Design: The Mi3 has dimensions of 114 mm high x 72 mm wide x 8.1 mm thick. It is made of an aluminum-magnesium alloy, which allows an ultra-thin design and thanks to its graphite thermal film achieves better heat dissipation. The Galaxy Note 3 is 151.2mm high x 79.2mm wide x 8.3mm thick and 168 grams. This model has a rough metallic stripe on the sides that is attached to a plastic casing with a touch similar to leather, and which gives it an elegant appearance.
Availability and price: The general evaluation that we can make of the Xiaomi Mi3 is excellent. And is that, taking into account that its price ranges between € 299 for the 16GB model and € 380 for the 64GB model of internal memory, we have a battery and a camera on the phone that we do not find on Smartphone that double the price of East. That it does not have a memory card can put you back a little, but if you opt for the 16 GB model or, if you prefer, for the 64 GB version, you will have enough space to store thousands of photos, songs, programs, movies and series on your Xiaomi Mi3. The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is a terminal adapted for unburdened pockets, with its 525 euros, although it may be somewhat cheaper depending on the promotion that we choose when buying it. Anyway, it is still something exorbitant for many.
