Comparison: xiaomi red rice vs jiayu g4
Today is a great day!. In Professional Review we have gotten off on the right foot and determined to move forward, launching many more comparisons between smartphones that land on the market ready to reach the highest within their possibilities. Today we launch our new signing, the Xiaomi Red Rice, and as the first guest we have the also known for these parts Jiayu G4. Two terminals belonging to the Chinese industry, which has been stomping on its Low Cost devices with features worthy of high-end smartphones, but at lower-middle-range prices. Along these lines you will see how both phones present a good value for money, and that they could become the perfect gift for this Christmas. Let's go to the mess !:
First of all, its screens: the Xiaomi presents 4.7 inches with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels, reaching 312 dpi. Its IPS technology gives it a great viewing angle and quality in its colors. It is also protected against scratches by a Gorilla Glass 2 type glass. The Jiayu G4 for its part has the same screen size, same resolution and even IPS technology, although with a higher pixel density per inch, rising to 412 and also protected by the glass manufactured by the Corning Gorilla Glass 2 company.
Processors: The Quadcore MediaTek MT6589 Turbo with quad-core 1.5GHz that accompanies the Red Rice gives it quite remarkable power. It also features a PowerVR SGX544MP GPU, the same graphics chip as the Jiayu G4 and which gives them great graphics performance, allowing them to use 3D games and decode 1080p video. The processor is also the same, only that in the case of the Jiayu G4 it runs at 1.2 GHz. RAM memory is also repeated in both terminals, being 1 GB, unless we talk about the advanced model Jiayu, which incorporates 2 GB of RAM. The MIUI OS V5 operating system that brings the Xiaomi is based on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean. The Jiayu contains Android Jelly Bean 4.2.2 customized by the brand.
We continue talking about its cameras: the rear of the Xiaomi has an 8-megapixel Samsung sensor, a 28mm wide-angle and an f / 2.2 aperture. In addition, with its LED Flash no detail will escape us even in low light conditions. It is also capable of recording 1080p video. Its 2 MP front camera also supports 1080p video. The Jiayu G4 is made up of a 13 MP Sony origin CMOS sensor, so quality is guaranteed. Both phones also feature autofocus, panoramic mode or LED flash. As for the front lens, the Jiayu has 3 megapixels, more than ideal for video conferencing.
Now your designs: the Xiaomi Red Rice has dimensions of 125.3 mm high x 64.5 mm wide x 9.9 mm thick. We can find it available in three different colors: Chinese red, metallic gray and ivory white. Its back shell is interchangeable, in addition to being made from recycled materials that endows the terminal with a pressure resistance of up to 135 kg. The Jiayu G4 is 133mm tall x 65mm wide. Its thickness can be 8.2 mm or 10 mm depending on the model (already mentioned above), since it has different batteries, also varying its weight: from 162 grams to 180 grams. As for the back cover of the Jiayu G4 there is nothing to highlight: it is made of plastic, resistant and cheap, and it is also attached by a metal frame to the front of the terminal.
Connectivity: both smartphones have very common connections such as 3G, WiFi or Bluetooth, among others, without the presence of 4G / LTE technology.
The two terminals include a 4 GB internal memory, expandable in both cases through microSD cards, only in the case of the Red Rice it does not go beyond 32 GB and in the Jiayu G4 it can be extended to 64 GB.
WE RECOMMEND Niantic investigates the Xiaomi users ban from Pokémon GOBattery: the Xiaomi presents a battery with a capacity of 2000 mAh, while that of the Jiayu G4 reaches 3, 000 mAh (at least if we talk about its Basic Plus and Advanced models, since the Basic device presents one of 1850 mAh) making it one of the highlights of the terminal and well above the Red Rice. The autonomy of this model is of excellent attractiveness, especially for those who are prone to playing or watching many videos.
We finish talking about prices : the Xiaomi can be found on the internet, such as www.pccomponentes.com, at a free price of 199 euros for a somewhat more expensive price and through the same website we can get the Jiayu G4, where the Turbo model is available for 224 euros and its brother Advance for 269 euros.
