Comparison: xiaomi red rice vs jiayu g5
After the comparison between the Xiaomi Red Rice and the Jiayu G4, now it's the turn of its older brother, the Jiayu G5. Both devices are stomping on the market thanks above all to their excellent quality and price ratio, which is not for less, as we will see throughout this article. Next we will see (in your opinion) which of the two smartphones is the winner in this Asian fight. Stay tuned:
The cameras first: the rear lens of the Xiaomi is made by Samsung and has 8 megapixels, bringing with it a wide angle of 28 mm, an f / 2.2 aperture and LED flash. It also makes 1080p videos. Its 2 MP front camera also captures and records at 1080p. The Jiayu G5 for its part is made up of a 13 MP rear camera and a 3 MP front camera.
Processors: The two smartphones feature the same processor and the same graphics chip: Quadcore MediaTek MT6589 Turbo with quad-core running at 1.5GHz and PowerVR SGX544MP for great graphics performance. As it happened with the Jiayu G4, we have 1 GB of RAM for both terminals, although the Advanced model of the Jiayu G5 has 2 GB of RAM. The MIUI V5 operating system based on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean protects the Xiaomi, and its customized version by the Asian company is present in the Jiayu. The RAM that accompanies the Jiayu G5 is 1 GB in its simplest version, and 2 GB in the Advanced model. Its operating system is Android version 4.2 for the Chinese model.
We will continue with its screens : the Xiaomi has a 4.7-inch screen with 1280 x 720 pixels of resolution, which gives it 312 dpi. Its IPS technology gives it a great viewing angle and quality in its colors. It is protected from scratches with a Gorilla Glass 2 type glass . The Jiayu G5 for its part has a size of 4.5 inches and also a resolution HD 1280 x 720 pixels, in addition to IPS technology and Gorilla Glass 2 manufactured by Corning. In conclusion, the variety between the two lies in the pixel density and its dimension.
The two terminals have a 2000 mAh battery, which will have almost identical autonomy since their powers are practically the same.
Now your connectivity : both smartphones only have very common connections such as 3G, Bluetooth or WiFi.
Internal memory : its internal memory is 4 GB, expandable up to 32 GB through microSD cards. The Jiayu G5, is also marketed with a 4 GB model and another known as Advanced with 32 GB. Its memory is expandable by microSD card up to 64 GB.
Design: The Xiaomi Red Rice has dimensions of 125.3 mm high x 64.5 mm wide x 9.9 mm thick and weighs 158 grams. We can find it available in three different colors: Chinese red, metallic gray and ivory white. Its back shell is made from recycled materials and is interchangeable. It supports a pressure of up to 135 kg. For its part, the Jiayu G5 has a size of 130 mm high x 63.5 mm wide x 7.9 mm thick and also weighs 158 grams, thanks to its lower thickness that compensates for its size. It has a metallic and resistant back cover, which gives it a lot of elegance.
Availability and price: the Xiaomi can be found on the pccomponents website at a free price of 199 euros, a very attractive cost so we can see comparing it with the benefits it contains. The Jiayu G5 is a more expensive terminal: we are talking about 244 euros in black and free if it is the normal version, and the Advanced model in the same conditions comes out for 289 euros. Also seen at www.pccomponentes.com. As we can see, we are talking about two smartphones that would be the perfect gift for this Christmas.
