In the case of front cameras, the Jiayu G5 has a 3-megapixel lens, while the Xiaomi has a 5-megapixel lens. Both smartphones make video recordings, which in the case of the Redmi reach 1080p.

Processors: The Xiaomi has two different models for sale: one with a Mediatek 6592 Octa-core CPU that runs at 1.4 GHz, and another with the same processor but that runs at 1.7 GHz. They present the same graphics chip: Mali-450, but different RAM memory: 1 GB and 2 GB respectively. The Jiayu G5 features a 1.5 GHz Quad Core MediaTek MT6589T CPU and an IMGSGX544 GPU . Its RAM memory is 1 GB, unless we talk about the advanced model , which also incorporates 2 GB of RAM. The Android operating system in version 4.2 Jelly Bean (customized) accompanies the G5, while the Xiaomi presents MIU V5, which is based on 4.2 Jelly Bean.

Designs: The Xiaomi has dimensions of 154 mm high x 78.7 mm wide x 9.45 mm thick, which make up a resistant plastic housing in black on the front and white on the back. The Jiayu G5 is 130mm tall x 63.5mm wide x 7.9mm thick. Its casing has a metallic and resistant finish, which also reminds us of other terminals such as the LG Optimus Black or the iPhone.

Batteries: the Xiaomi gives a good overview of the Jiayu G5, containing a capacity of 3200 mAh and 2000 mAh respectively, so the Redmi will have a greater autonomy than its compatriot.

Internal Memory: The Redmi Note manages with an 8 GB ROM, while the G5 presents two models for sale: one called Basic that contains 4 GB and another called Advanced with 32 GB of ROM. The Xiaomi can expand its memories using microSD cards up to 32 GB, while the Jiayu by the same method can reach 64 GB.

Connectivity: the two devices have basic connections that are well known to all of us, such as WiFi, 3G, Bluetooth or FM radio, without the 4G / LTE technology being available in any case.

Availability and price:

The Xiaomi is available depending on the model for 160 - 170 euros (in the case of 1.4 GHz and 1 GB of RAM) and hovering around 200 euros in the case of 1.7 GHz and 2 GB of RAM. As for the Jiayu G5, we can say that it is discontinued from the Spanish website in charge of its distribution, with the basic model being found on eBay for 278 euros.
