Bang & Olufsen's never rushed to be the first to release a product for a new category, and the B&O Play E8 is the result of this wait.

Danish company Bang & Olufsen has always played in another league when it comes to audio solutions. They have some of the most expensive speakers on the market, and their televisions aren't cheap either. Through the new range of B & Play products, the company tried to launch some somewhat more affordable gadgets, without making any compromises in terms of audio performance.

Bang & Olufsen B&O Play E8 headphones lack cables but deliver the same sound quality the company is famous for

The secret is to spend as much time optimizing a product before putting it on the market. Practically, when Bang & Olufsen decided to announce their first wireless headphones, you are guaranteed that the audio quality is in line with that of the other B&O Play headphones.

Called Bang & Olufsen B&O Play E8, these headphones that can be seen in the image above play music via Bluetooth and can be used to answer phone calls and even to interact with the device's virtual assistant. They do not have any type of cable and come to the package with a very discreet case that you can put in any pocket.

The case itself has the ability to recharge the headphones when you're not using them. The concept behind its design is not exactly revolutionary and we have already seen it in Apple AirPods, Bragi headphones or Samsung Gear IconX.

In practice, Bang & Olufsen promises four hours of continuous use for the B&O Play E8. When they are downloaded and put in their casing, you will have the possibility of making another two full recharges of four hours each. To interact with the mobile, one of the helmets has the external surface sensitive to touch. In this way, you can change songs, take calls or activate Transparent mode, if you want to hear what is happening around you.

In terms of technical details, each pair of B&O Play E8 headphones hides inside a 5.7-millimeter electro-dynamic diffuser with an impedance of 16 Ohms, capable of reproducing music in the 20Hz-20, 000Hz frequency range. The audio experience offered by the headphones can be personalized to the maximum through the B&O Play mobile application. The sale price is 299 euros and will arrive in stores on October 12.
