Processor and graphics card

As it is a budget dedicated mainly to gaming, we have prioritized the graphics card over the processor. Therefore, we have combined a Ryzen 5 3400G / Intel Pentium G4560 with a 4GB Nvidia GTX 1650. This combo will allow us to play most of the titles, in many cases in high or even ultra qualities.

The processor has 4 cores and 4 threads, enough for most games, which don't need much in this regard. Considering how the Ryzen architecture is, the base 3.7GHz and turbo 3.2GHz are enough to use in games, although they can be improved.

And what about the Intel option? Well, for this we have taken a very different approach: we have opted for the Intel Pentium G4560, a lower processor than the Ryzen 5 3400G as it has 2 cores and 4 threads instead of 4 cores and 4 threads, but that is much cheaper, and offers better value for money for anyone with the sole purpose of playing maximum FPS at the lowest price. However, we prefer to bet on the 3400G or a Ryzen 5 2600.

Regarding the graphics, we have the aforementioned Nvidia GTX 1650/1650 SUPER 4GB, which at a price of only 160 euros (there are even offers for less ) is cheaper than the GTX 1660 3GB (its direct competitor) and the RX 5500 XT, and even at a lower price than many GTX 1050 Ti. The latter cannot even compete with the RX 570 as it performs 30-40% less. Therefore, it is a sensational option.

You can take a look at our analyzes:

Motherboard, RAM and storage

For the motherboard we have opted for affordable options (60-80 euros). In the case of the AMD option, it is the ASUS Prime B450M-A. This microATX model is a more than decent option, and has a great future as it is compatible with third-generation Ryzen processors and even future 3rd generation ones. It does not have a great VRM but it could be used for a light overclock in 4-core processors. In the case of Intel, the MSI B250M-Bazooka is more basic, but it will fulfill its mission like a charm.

The RAM is 8 GB and we have opted for Patriot modules for their balanced price and for being DDR4-3000. Being a 2x4GB kit, they work Dual Channel (the boards bring us another two more slots in case we want to expand), and their capacity is sufficient for current games.

Where's the SSD?

Since we are looking for the maximum possible performance for gaming, we have had to do without the SSD in favor of other components such as the graphics card. In case you do not know what an SSD is, it is a much faster storage unit than a traditional hard disk, in which the system and programs are installed so that everything goes much faster. In the case of games, the SSD only helps in loading times.

In any case, the included 1TB Seagate Barracuda HDD will work perfectly, and you won't notice any problems if you've never tried an SSD.

In any case, if you want to make the jump, here you have the best options from 30 euros up.

Power supply: it is important to choose a quality model

The power supply is a crucial component for the equipment, since a poor quality model could damage components. We do not want to do like others and we care about including models according to the budget.

We have opted for the Corsair CX450. A model of only 50 euros that has good protections, real power, decent quality components and a modern interior. It is an excellent value for money option, and it can perfectly with this equipment that will hardly consume 200-300W under load, and allows us future updates to more powerful GPUs (limited to 1 PCIe connector), more disks, etc.

Also stay away from models that promise too much power at a low price. If a brand tells you that it can give 700W or more for only 40-50 euros, it is lying to you.

The box that we incorporate is a sensational option in value for money, since for only 30 euros it offers us decent quality and functionality, and a rather interesting aesthetic. It is a compact model only compatible with micro-ATX.
