Microsoft Outlook is an email or email management tool. In the following section we will indicate the steps that must be necessary to configure the ONO email account. So you do not have to worry that we will help you during all the configuration.

Add Ono Mail in Microsoft Outlook

The first thing to do for setup is to have an email client (app). What is an email client? Surely you will hear the Microsoft Outlook, Thunderbird or eM Client applications.

In case this icon does not appear, what you should do is go to start, applications, programs, Microsoft Outlook once done you can access the application.

It is quite important that you check if the icon is on your desktop. When you install the Microsoft Office package it usually leaves you with a shortcut.

In the menu bar we will go where it says tools and select the option " Account settings... ". Then, the following screen will appear.

In it we will select the option to " add " a new email account.

Then in the window that continues we will select the type of server POP3 or IMAP. How is a POP3 or IMAP server different? It is really very easy, POP3 downloads emails from the server to your PC (it disappears from the server ), while IMAP synchronizes email from the server, but never downloads it. As a general rule I usually leave it in POP3 so that nobody has access to these emails.

Leave the option " Microsoft Exchange, POP3, IMAP or " checked and activate the option " Manually configure the server options or additional server types " and click on " Next ".

On the next screen we select " Internet Email " and click on next.

After that another window will open that will ask us:

  • Your name: We will put our full name . The email address that we are configuring: [email protected] name . Also requests the POP3 or IMAP server (input): pop3.ono.com / imap.ono.com . Also the outgoing server (SMTP): smtp.ono.com In addition, it will ask you for the username that is the same as the email and the password that you give us or in its welcome pack.

Once the fields are all complete we should not press next, since we must click on More Settings and then on the tab that says outgoing servers, there we will select the option “ My outgoing server (smtp), it will require an authentication ” and also the option of being able to " use the same form of configuration as the incoming mail server " and click on " Accept ".

Click on next and then by default Outlook shows a window that indicates that all the data has been registered correctly, once this click on finish to save the new configuration. We have our mail ready and working at full capacity!
