The developers of Xenia, the Xbox 360 emulator for PC, have announced that they have managed to run Halo 3, although do not get too excited for now.

Running the game is one thing and being able to play it is a very different one, for now the emulation is extremely green, since it has only been achieved by running Halo 3. The performance is extremely low and there are many graphic errors, such as textures that do not are loaded and many more bugs. Despite all this, it is a very important first step and it marks a long evolutionary path until Xenia allows for the first time to play an Xbox 360 title on PC.

If all goes well, it could be later this year or early 2019 when we can finally play halo 3 on PC. There are currently rumors about the release of Halo The Master Chief Collection for PC, so Microsoft could get ahead of Xenia by allowing Halo 3 to play on PC. It has been a long time since the Redmond's strategy is to share the entire catalog between Windows 10 and PC, in fact there has already been talk of the arrival of Sunset Overdrive to Windows 10.
