It has been relatively recently that the generation of PlayStation 3 and XBOX360 games can be emulated on PC. We already had news of PlayStation 3 and its RPCS3 emulator, and now it's the turn of its counterpart, the Xenia for XBOX360 games.

Blue Dragon, Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker, Halo 3, Halo 3 ODST and many are already emulated by Xenia

The Xenia emulator seems to have made incredible progress lately. Different XBOX360 video games such as Blue Dragon, Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker, Halo 3, Halo 3 ODST and more can already be run on PC through this emulator.

For the demonstration, a computer with an Intel Xeon e3-1240 V2 @ 3.6 GHz with 8GB of DDR3-1866MHz memory and an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 Ti graphics card was used. Obviously, a Xeon CPU isn't powerful enough to run this emulator, so don't be put off by the framerates you're about to see in these videos.

It seems that Halo 3 and Halo 3 ODST can be played, but they are not perfectly emulated yet. In fact, and with the exception of Condemned, Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker and Blue Dragon, almost all other games suffer from major graphics glitches, but keep in mind that until months ago, emulating these games was impossible.

It is truly amazing that this XBOX360 emulator can even start / run these famous games that never made it to PC. Not only that, but users with a high-end CPU can run these games at 30fps (I know, not ideal, but they can be considered to run at full speed since they were locked at 30fps on Xbox 360).

As always, in the coming months the emulation should improve and be polished, to make them fully functional.
