The complaint was filed by the group United Citizens for Consumer Sovereignty (CUCS). The group represents 120 plaintiffs in a civil lawsuit against Apple. Said lawsuit was filed in early January, as reported.
Apple is accused of fraud
The new lawsuit that the American company faces is focused on the launch of iOS 10.2.1 in 2016. Since it is in this version in which the function that affected the CPU of the iPhone 6, 6S and SE is included. A function used to smooth the power supply. So it causes the computer to slow down. Something that these consumers consider fraud by Apple.
The complaint was filed on January 18. On the same day, also in Italy, the Competition and Market Guarantor Authority (AGCM) has started an investigation into Apple and Samsung for planned obsolescence. So the American company is also in the spotlight in European markets.
The company continues to suffer the consequences of problems with slowed down iPhones. So far they have not reacted to this complaint in South Korea. But, everything indicates that it will not be the last time that we hear similar news.
