Control can use up to 18.5 gb of your graphics vram memory

According to some tests from Tweaktown, the Control video game is capable of using 18.5 GB of VRAM memory . This gives us a little bit of the state in which video games are and how far the most demanding go.

The triple AAA of Remedy, Control, shows great optimization

One of the great releases of these months is the Control video game, a singleplayer RPG shooter with a great story and impeccable visuals. It is a triple AAA game created by Remedy and without a doubt it is falling in love with a large number of players.

However, what we will refer to today is different tests that the Tweaktown page has done , since it seems that the video game is much more capable than it seems. More specifically, the tests were with 4K and 8K resolutions. They had Ray Tracing activated and were using DirectX 12 instructions , which increased VRAM consumption to 18.5 GB .

Of all the graphics cards we can buy, only the TITAN RTX can offer us these specifications and is not intended for the common market. In fact, the only user-oriented graphics approaching this number is the Radeon VII , although it only has 16GB of VRAM .

These numbers show how well the video game is optimized, but also how the industry is progressing. In 4K UHD resolutions with Ray Tracing activated, the average consumption of VRAM was maintained at 8.1 GB. This figure is important, since it shows us that the power ceiling continues to rise and perhaps today's charts are already lagging behind.

For example, the RTX 2080 SUPER has 8GB of VRAM , while the RTX 2080 Ti has 11GB .
