Corsair is one of the best manufacturers of PC chassis and demonstrates this in each of the products it puts on the market. Its latest launch is the Corsair Carbide 275R that will delight the most demanding users, this advanced chassis lacks nothing, including a large tempered glass window, ample cooling possibilities and a most careful design with RGB lighting included.

Unboxing and design

Corsair Carbide 275R repeats the presentation that we find in all the chassis of the brand, since it is presented in a large cardboard box. On its cover we see a silkscreen of the silhouette of the chassis and on the back the main characteristics of the box.

Once we open the box we find the chassis covered by a plastic bag and very well accommodated by several pieces of cork to prevent it from moving. In this way the manufacturer ensures that it reaches the hands of the end user in perfect condition. Next to the chassis we find the following bundle:

We already focus our eyes on the Corsair Carbide 275R chassis, we know that the manufacturer does not like extravagant designs and proves it once again. This chassis is built with clean lines and curved edges, it is a product with a sober design while very elegant, which is why it will appeal to most users, including those with more classic preferences and those who are looking for something modern.

As you can see we have the white version which is beautiful. Although there is also another version in black, in case you like the most classic? The box has dimensions of 44.6 x 21.1 x 43.7 cm and a weight of 8.56 kg. It looks good! We continue with the analysis!

Corsair has placed a large tempered glass panel on the main side, this occupies the entire side and is spectacular, personally this is the design that I like the most, the windows that do not occupy the entire side I do not like (so we can see everything the inside of our PC with a simple glance) and I prefer to avoid them. Corsair has used high quality tempered glass, something that is noted for its robustness and how the window looks.

The front has a totally clean design, this is thanks to the fact that there is no 5.25-inch bay, a decision that will be loved and hated in equal parts, the truth is that more and more manufacturers are deciding not to include it. Where the Corsair logo stands out in the lower area.

This we can disassemble quickly without the need for tools. Once removed, it allows us to access the removable filter and the hole of the three 120 and 140 mm front fans.

At the top we see the I / O panel, this includes two USB 3.0 ports, the 3.5 mm connections for audio and micro, the on and off button (it is the same). We are missing a USB Type-C connector, although on a computer it is not widely used and is totally expendable (there are quick adapters), in any case it would not have hurt to include it.

In the back we find space for a 120mm fan that will take care of removing the hot air. In the middle of the area we have a total of seven expansion slots and the possibility of installing the card in a vertical format. Finally, we see the gap for the power supply, which as you know is the best position to do so.

Finally, we leave you detail of the soil filters and the four rubber feet. The latter are of great quality and help our chassis to be well fixed on the surface that we leave it installed.

Interior and assembly

To access the interior of the Corsair Carbide 275R we just need to remove the four screws attached to the tempered glass panel. Everything is quite fast and intuitive, and best of all with the tool that already includes us (an allen key).

The internal design has is simple and minimalist. This makes access to install all components super fast. We would like to point out that the power supply is closed in a separate compartment, which helps to maintain aesthetics and keep most of the internal wiring in that hole.

Before going into greater detail, we want you to see the other side of the chassis, where all the not so important wiring and accessories will be facing the gallery.

There we have a 3.5 inch hard drive booth and two other 2.5 inch SSD drive mounts.

We reach the back and see the hole for the power supply in the lower area, it supports ATX units up to 220 mm in length. This is the best place to put the power supply since it will take the fresh air directly from the bottom and it will not "eat" all the hot air inside the equipment, which happens when it goes in the upper area. In this rear area we also see the traditional 7 expansion bays.

We now turn to look inside the Corsair 275R, this chassis allows us to mount an ATX, Micro ATX or Mini ITX motherboard so the possibilities are quite wide. Corsair has installed a dedicated cable routing compartment that enables effortless builds.

Thanks to this, the assembly will look more professional, and the air flow will not be affected by mismanagement of the wiring.

In this upper area we also see a space reserved for installing two 120mm fans or a 240mm radiator for lovers of liquid cooling. Corsair has included a dust filter to protect the interior from dirt, this is magnetic and can be easily removed for cleaning.

Corsair has put a lot of emphasis on cooling, the Airflow Path system directs cold air to the hottest components, without interference from hard drive cages. In this way, very efficient cooling is achieved to avoid overheating of the components that can occur in the low-end chassis.

The Corsair Carbide 275R is an elegant, minimalist chassis with a tempered glass window that allows us to see the entire interior of our PC at a single glance. Its internal structure is made of steel and the surface is high quality plastic.

Its compatibility is maximum with high-end components. It allows to install ATX, mATX and ITX motherboards. It also allows the installation of liquid cooling on the front of 240 mm, compatibility with heatsinks with a maximum height of 17 cm, power supplies (PSU) of up to 22 cm and graphics cards with a maximum length of 37 cm. What more can we ask for? Due to its cost of sale, we can hardly ask you…

Our mounting experience could not have been better! Everything very fast, tidy and that allows you to mount very high-end material without leaving a kidney in the chassis. This is great for us, to invest in other internal components (processor, gpu, ssd…) of higher quality and boost our entire system. Great Corsair job! As always from 10!

Its sale price will oscillate at 84.90 euros and will arrive in Spain in the coming weeks. Without a doubt, we are facing one of the best quality / price chassis on the market.
