Corsair Carbide Quiet 400Q and Carbide Clear 400C
Both boxes come with a design that is capable of housing E-ATX, ATX, mATX, and iTX motherboards and 7 expansion slots. The Carbide 400C / 400Q has a size of 425 x 215 x 464 mm (WxHxD) and a weight of 8.2 kg, allowing it to house graphics cards up to 37 cm in length and ATX power supplies.
Both the Corsair Carbide 400Q and Carbide 400C do not have external 5.25-inch slots, two internal 3.5 ″ and three internal 2.5 ″, giving a total of 5 expansion slots.
All the cabling is managed by its efficient “ cable management ” and brings us an excellent distribution of cooling, consisting of three 120/140 mm front fans (one 140 mm included), two 120/140 mm ceiling fans and in the rear area one of 120 mm (included). The compatible liquid coolers are the Hydro H55, H60, H75, H80i, H90, H100i, H105 and H110 that we have analyzed months ago.
The great difference that we find between them is that the Carbide Clear 400Q has panels that soundproof the entire interior of the tower and is more suitable for SilentPC equipment.
Some of the characteristics to take into account of these boxes are:
- They are easy to assemble, since it allows us to install without tools, it has clamps for tidying and routing the wiring. Incorporation of filters that prevents the entry of massive dust both in the front, top and bottom area. Power supply and cabins of protected hard disks (covered at first sight), gaining in aesthetics and design. Possibility of acquiring in a window version and at the same time silenced with specific material. Top-of-range fans AF120L and AF140L that give a good air flow at low revolutions.
The price of both the Corsair Carbide Quiet 400Q and 400C will be around 100 euros, making it an affordable box with great possibilities for cooling and component installation.
