We are not in front of any memory, but rather some modules of exquisite level and with an outstanding aesthetic. By far they are the best memory models thanks to their DHX cooling, also for their design and potential, that is, we are facing a safe value in demanding environments. We find a category presentation among all the memories that we are going to be able to analyze. An incredible Corsair format, specifically a cardboard box that allows us to identify that we are in front of the Corsair Dominator Platinum DDR4 at a speed of 2666 mhz and compatible with motherboards with X99 chipset. Already on the back it identifies all its technical characteristics and serial number of each of the bundle modules.

Regarding the design we can see two faces. In the first we have a sticker that refers to the series while on the reverse we have some specifications: the exact model of the module, speed, CL and serial number. As expected we have a lifetime warranty by the manufacturer, all insurance when purchasing this kit.

Specifically, we have a pack of four DDR4 modules of 4GB each, which make a total of 16GB at 2666 Mhz and C16 latency. X. After the great success in DDR3 modules, Corsair has once again opted for its DHX heatsink with a spectacular design and certified cooling by all users who have it.

I really like it because it is fully customizable with an extension module and offers the best performance possible. What if we must be careful enough when installing a heatsink, since they are high profile and not all will be compatible.

Entering its characteristics, we find a total of 288 DDR4 pins, a speed of 2666 Mhz, a latency of CL 16-18-18-35, voltage 1.20 v, Quad Channel technology, XMP 2.0 support, compatibility with Intel Haswell- E (LGA 2011-3) and the latest Z170. Finally you can see how it is installed on a Gigabyte X99 Gaming 5 motherboard.

Final words and conclusion

When this kit came into my hands it was clear to me that the performance was going to be high, as Corsair has demonstrated with its DDR4 model. Specifically, we have had the Corsair Dominator Platinum DDR4 kit with 288 pins, speed at 2666 mhz, voltage at 1.20v, XMP 2.0 profile, low latencies and its well-known DHX heatsink perfect to get the most out of any platform that we install it.

In our tests we have seen that the competition is eaten with only 2666 mhz. Having record reading and writing rates in our tests and improving the synthetic test in cinebench. While the gaming experience is even much better.

Currently we can find this kit at a price around 300 euros in European online stores. Personally, it seems to me an excellent acquisition for those who need DDR4 memory since it assures them of having design, excellent frequencies, stability and a lifetime guarantee on the same product.
