Unboxing and exterior

The Corsair Graphite 380T is protected in a large and fairly ecological cardboard box. On the side it already indicates that we have the version with a window and in white. Once we open the box we find:

The tower has dimensions of 39.3 x 2.92 x 35.6 cm (width x height x depth) and a weight close to 5.55 Kg. Although it is a tower for ITX motherboards, its size is quite voluminous.

At first glance we can see that the 380T has a very portable design and that the aesthetics are very well cared for. It is currently available in white, black and bright yellow.

In the front area we have a perforated mesh panel (Metal Mesh) that covers the entire front. This is removable and in it we can see a Corsair AF140L 140mm fan with LEDs, although we can change it for a combination of 200mm fan or two 120mm fans. As we can see, it does not have a gap for bays of 5.25 ″.

Looking slightly up we find the control panel. We have a button to control the speed of the fans, audio input / output, two USB 3.0 connections, a reset button and the power button (START / STOP).

In the upper area we find a handle for transport and that combines very well with the design of the box.

On both sides we are we continue to find grids for better breathing and a small window to view the interior of our equipment. Both sides allow us to remove them easily and without the need to remove screws.

Located in the rear area we see a 120 mm fan ( Corsair AF120L ) that expels the hot air to the outside, the hole for I / O connections, a hole for the power supply and two expansion slots.

When we look at the lower area of ​​the chassis we find two large legs and a filter to prevent dust from entering the ground.

Corsair Graphite 380T Interior

The Corsair Graphite 380T is only compatible with Mini-ITX motherboards and features two expansion slots. Its internal structure is made of SECC steel painted in matt black.

At first glance we can see a small structure ( two bars ) that allows us to install a double 240mm radiator (Corsair GTX H100i ) or a single 120mm radiator (Corsair H80i GT). There is the option of simply using it with two 120mm fans.

What type of power supply can I install? We will not have a problem, since it is compatible with standard ATX power supplies with a maximum length of 160 mm.

On the compatibility with graphics cards it allows us up to 29 cm in length, making it compatible with almost any top-of-the-range GPU.

On cooling, it allows us to install up to 5 fans:

• Front: 2 x 120mm or one 140mm or 200mm Rear: 1 x 120mm Side: 2 x 120mm

It incorporates a cabin of hard disks that allows us to install two 2.5-inch disks and a combo of another two 3.5-inches. We have enough space to have high-end equipment in a small box. Amazing!

Its great but we find it in the management of the wiring and it is that we believe that it can cost us our lives to leave the whole system collected and that it is not noticed when we display it.

Temperatures

How does the fan controller work? It allows us to use up to three profiles with the fans: 50%, 75% and 100%. These profiles carry out their tasks very well, using the first profile for when the equipment is at rest or work or light or the next two if we need more air flow for high-performance jobs.

Final words and conclusion

Corsair has done a great job with its SFF case: Corsair Graphite 380T by having everything a box in this category needs: design, excellent air-cooling and optionally liquid, compatibility with high-end graphics cards and storage bays .

In our performance tests we couldn't have been more satisfied. We have installed a Z170 itx motherboard, an i5-6600k processor, and a dual-fan GTX 780 graphics card. The spectacular result!

Currently we can find the 380T at a price between 140 to 160 euros. It is not a cheap chassis, but given its high compatibility it will allow us to take advantage of many components of our previous equipment.
