Technical characteristics
Corsair H110i GTX
As always, the presentation is fantastic. Its box is long and robust. On the cover we find in large letters the exact model " H110i GTX " and an image of the liquid cooling kit. In the rest of the faces we visualize all the technical characteristics of the product. Once we open it, we have perfectly protected and cushioned packaging.
In its inner bundle we will find:
- Corsair H110i GTX liquid cooling kit - Instruction manual and quick guide - Two 140mm fans - Support for both Intel and AMD - Various hardware for installation
It is a compact liquid cooling without maintenance and is equipped with a double grill aluminum radiator with dimensions of 140mm x 312mm x 26mm. Will it enter my tower? If you have two 140mm fan holes in the top or front, the answer is yes.
It has two hoses already fixed with fixed fittings that in this new model are more flexible than in previous models. In each of them, the prepared liquid will run to avoid the existence of algae or any type of microorganism. We can breathe easy.
As we saw with the Corsair H100i GTX, the block has renewed its style and maintains the quality of its components: 100% copper base and quality pre-applied paste. The thickness of the block is quite thin (more if we compare it with previous or competitive models). While, the sealing with the pipes is very successful and the possibility of leakage of the internal liquid is unlikely. In the logo area, we have a custom RGB led that will give a more pleasant feeling and that we can combine with our hardware.
Two cables come out of the block, the first for powering the block to the motherboard (USB), while the second serves to link with Corsair Link technology.
Regarding the fans, we have two Corsair SP140 high performance, and that is, they are capable of reaching a maximum speed of 2000 RPM and a static pressure of 40 CFM (A difference of 30 CFM). Both have the 4-pin connection (PWM) which allows us to control the revolutions of the motherboard. Regarding its wiring, it is perfectly meshed in black and in the physical section it looks very good. It combines very well with any outfit!
It is compatible with the entire platform of the moment Intel (LGA 775 / 115x / 1366 / 201x CPU (Core i3 / i5 / i7)) and AMD (FM2 + / FM2 / FM1 / AM3 + / AM3 / AM2 + / AM2) with their respective supports.
Mounting and installation on platform 1150
Installation is quite simple, we must place the backplate on the back of the motherboard and return the motherboard to its natural position. Next we will insert the four fixing screws for the block. We insert the block and tighten all the hardware.
Finally, we must fix the radiator on the roof of our tower and install the two USB power and Corsair Link (USB) connections to the motherboard and voila, assembly completed.

To test the real performance of the heatsink we are going to stress the best processor on the market: the Intel Skylake i5-6600k. Our tests consist of 72 uninterrupted hours of work. In stock values and with overclocked 4600 mhz. In this way, we can observe the highest temperature peaks and the average that the heatsink reaches. We must bear in mind that when playing or using other types of software, the temperature will drop dramatically between 7 to 12ºC.
How are we going to measure the processor temperature?
We will use the internal sensors of the processor. For that test on Intel processors we will use the CPUID HwMonitor application in its latest version. Although it is not the most reliable test of the moment, it will be our reference in all our analyzes. The ambient temperature is 20º.
Let's see the results obtained:
Corsair Link Software
It is nothing new that Corsair incorporates the cable for the Corsair Link as standard in its liquid cooling kits. What can we do? This application allows us to control the speed of the fans, monitor temperatures and customize the LEDs on the block.
WE RECOMMEND YOU Review: Antec Khüler H2O 620The software can be downloaded from the download section of the Corsair official website. Once installed, we find 4 tabs:
- System: they indicate all the characteristics and status of the team Group: group of groups and their monitoring Graphs: it allows us to see the evolution of the team while we play / work or at rest Options: It allows us to adjust independent parameters and profiles.
If we combine it with a digital serial power supply, we can carry all the monitoring of the system, including voltages and regulation of its fan.
Final words and conclusion
Corsair has done a great job with the Corsair H110i GTX Liquid Cooling Kit in terms of both components and performance. As we have seen during the analysis, the 280mm radiator offers great power for 4, 6 and 8 core heatsinks without any problem. Whereas, its pump in use is quite silent and is self-regulating by the motherboard.
The fans have a fairly minimalist design and offer a good 40 CFM flow and a good voltage / rpm ratio. If you are a lover of silentPC I recommend that you choose to buy other fans, since the Corsair SP140 has a hard time starting at low voltages with rehobus.
In our performance tests, we have seen how it behaves with an Intel Core i5-6600k with an overclock of 4, 600 Mhz and the results are excellent. Beating the H110i GTX in 3ºc.
The installation of the heatsink is very intuitive and is perfectly explained in the manual. If you follow it, in just 15-20 minutes you will have it working.
In short, if you are looking for a good compact liquid cooling with premium components, quiet and with a double 280mm radiator, the Corsair H110i GTX is the best option it offers on the market. Its price in store amounts to 140 euros.
