These heats are not normal, if you are possibly suffering your computer too. For this reason we bring you an analysis of quality compact refrigeration: Corsair H110i. It has a 280 mm surface, two 140 mm fans and a very low noise.

If you want to know more about this excellent heatsink, don't miss our review in Spanish. Prepared? Let's start!

First of all, we thank Corsair for the trust placed in the transfer of the H110i to us for analysis.

Corsair H110i technical specifications

Unboxing and design

Corsair H110i arrives in a cardboard box of medium dimensions, at the top we see a photo of the product as well as its main characteristics. The manufacturer has taken advantage of one side of the box to detail all the sockets with which the heatsink is compatible, no mention is made of AM4 but it is fully compatible .

The rest of the box surface has been used to detail its characteristics and specifications in several languages, including Spanish.

The bundle includes:

  • Corsair H110i Mounting kit for all modern CPUs Two 140mm SP140L fans USB cable for integration with Corsair Link Screws for fan and radiator mounting Quick Start Guide

Once we open the box the first thing we see is the warranty card as well as a heatsink assembly guide that explains the entire procedure step by step. Once we remove both we see the Corsair H110i heatsink very well accommodated by a piece of cardboard to prevent it from moving during transport. Under the heatsink we see the two attached fans as well as all the accessories for mounting it.

The heatsink comes with two SP140L PWM fans that are regulated by Corsair software in a very simple way, these are 140 mm in size and are designed to offer the maximum air flow with 113 CFM with a high static pressure of 3, 99 mm-H2O and a reduced loudness of just 43 dBa at full performance. These fans include no less than 9 blades with a very elaborate design and operate at a maximum speed of 2100 RPM.

We now turn to look at the radiator, which reaches dimensions of 280 mm long with a width of 140 mm and a thickness of 27 mm that becomes 52 mm once the attached fans are installed.

As we can see, the radiator includes a gray frame that includes the brand's logo and is quite attractive with the black that dominates the body of the heatsink. The most important part of the radiator is made up of a multitude of aluminum fins that have the function of increasing the heat exchange surface to improve the dissipation capacity.

As for the water block, it is attached to the pump as usual in this type of solution, which seeks to optimize space to the maximum. Most of the body of the block is built in black, although we see a trim in the same gray tone that we see in the frame that is located on the radiator.

The bottom of the block is made of high-quality electrolytic copper to maximize heat transfer from the processor to the coolant. We can see that it comes with pre-applied thermal paste to facilitate assembly as much as possible, however, the most demanding users will prefer to clean it and apply its trusted thermal compound. Although it has already been shown on several occasions that the thermal paste to apply Corsair is the best on the market (it is not necessary to re-apply a new one).

The pump is powered by a SATA connector that gives it the power it needs to operate, it also includes a 3-pin connector that connects to the motherboard to monitor its operation from Corsair software. Finally, on one of the sides of the pump we see a micro-USB port and a plug to maintain the refrigerant fluid.

The pump has been the site chosen by Corsair to install an RGB LED lighting system, it is a system that we can configure in 16.8 million colors in a very simple way thanks to the Corsair Link 4 application. We leave you some photos so you can see how the lighting is:

The pump and the radiator are joined by corrugated tubes of black color, the union is completely sealed to avoid any possible leakage of fluid during the operation of the heatsink, something that could damage our entire system, so any precaution will be welcome in this regard..

Mounting on AM4 platform

I really like this cooling for the AM4 platform for its simple installation. As simple as having the liquid cooling kit, a bracket and a couple of screws for installation.

The first thing we are going to install is the magnetized support on the block together with two threaded screws, 1 on each side, and the hooking rings.

With quality pre-applied thermal paste, we do not need to install a thin film on the processor. Now we place the block on the processor, install both supports with the plastic hooks on the motherboard and tighten with the screwdriver. We are like this:

Next we only need to install the 3-pin mouth to the motherboard (its function is to tell the motherboard at what speed the pump rotates) and the SATA power to our power supply to give maximum power to the pump: + 12V.

To test the real performance of the heatsink we are going to stress with an interesting AMD Ryzen 7 1800X at stock speed and overclock. Our tests consist of 72 uninterrupted hours of work in stock values and with an overclock of 3800 mhz at 1.35.

In this way, we can observe the highest temperature peaks and the average that the heatsink reaches. We must bear in mind that when playing or using other types of software, the temperature will drop dramatically between 7 to 12ºC.

How are we going to measure the processor temperature?

For this test we will use the internal sensors of the processor under the supervision of the HWiNFO64 application in its latest version. We believe that it has positioned itself as the best on the market and even more so as a free version. Let's see the results obtained:

Final words and conclusion about Corsair H110i

The benefits of liquid cooling are undeniable, despite this custom systems are very expensive so there are few users who can afford to access them, in addition to requiring maintenance by the user. To solve these drawbacks they devised the fully closed liquid cooling kits already ready for installation and operation.

The Corsair H110i has a large area in its radiator to offer the best cooling to high-end processors: Intel SkyLake-X from socket 2066 and AMD Ryzen from socket AM4. In our tests we have used a 4 GHz AMD Ryzen 1800X and the results have been magnificent.

We recommend you read the best liquid refrigerations on the market

Unlike other cooling models, it already has a support compatible with AMD Ryzen. So there is no need to request additional anchoring from Corsair. Also that we can monitor all its operation through Corsair Link.

Its price in stores is 130 euros. We know it is a high price, but compared to its rivals the performance is fantastic. Without a doubt, a 100% recommended option.
