Corsair, the world leader in the manufacture of all types of peripherals and high-performance memory sticks for PCs, has announced a new series of Corsair MP300 SSD drives to bring the benefits of NVMe storage to all users.

Corsair MP300 offers three times higher performance than a SATA III SSD for a very tight price

The new Corsair MP300 is a high-speed NVMe solution, capable of offering three times better performance than a solution based on the SATA III 6 Gb / s interface, at relatively low prices. Like other inexpensive NVMe solutions, the Corsair MP300 is based on a 2x PCIe bus, which saves costs compared to the 4x PCIe bus used in top-of-the-range models. The manufacturer has used NAND 3D TLC memories, which are cheaper than MLC and allow very high performance to be maintained, as well as great resistance to intensive use.

Corsair promises read speeds of up to 1600 MB / s and up to 1040 MB / s in sequential write speed, more than enough figures for large workloads, and far exceeding the 560 MB / s that can be achieved by a bus SATA III. Corsair MP300 is available in 120, 240, 480 and 960 GB versions for approximate prices of € 59.99, € 94.99, € 154.99 and € 314.99 respectively.

Without a doubt this is a very interesting proposal for users who need a faster storage medium than the SATA III interface can offer, but who do not have a big budget for a top-of-the-range NVMe SSD. What do you think about the characteristics of this new Corsair MP300? You can leave a comment with your impressions.
