PNY announces its new CS2030 SSD in M.2 NVMe format, a solid state drive that will come in 240 and 480GB capacities, which promise breakneck speeds in data transmission.

CS2030 can reach 2, 750 MB / s read speeds

In principle, it will come in two models, one of 240 and the other of 480GB and it is expected that they will launch two other models of 128 and 512GB, which would complete this line of PNY SSD devices.

2016 has been a year in which this type of storage units have taken on a special role, thanks to the speeds they offer above traditional SSD drives. They are also a perfect complement to those mini-ITX motherboards and minimalist towers. These drives are capable of speeds of 2GB per second, well above the 600MB per second that SSDs reach for the SATA 3 interface, unless RAID-type configurations are created that cost more.

The CS2030 will use a third generation Phison PS5007 PCIe controller, using the 4 available routes for the data bus the unit allows to reach speeds of 2, 750 MB / s in sequential reading and 1, 500 MB / s in writing. Although no data has been provided on random write speeds, we know that the number of read IOPS operations will be 210, 000 IOPS and 215, 000 OPS for 4K random write operations.

The 240GB model will retail for $ 179.99 and the 480GB model will retail for $ 329.99.
