Corsair vengeance lpx ddr4 review

Table of contents:

Corsair, a leading manufacturer of high-end peripherals, memories, SSD hard drives and cases, launched the first DDR4 memory kits for the Intel X99 socket a year ago, just a few days before the launch of the new Intel platform.

This time they have sent us enthusiastic level modules with excellent active cooling. Specifically, we have the Vengeance LPX version at a serial speed of 3200 mhz and a low voltage. Read on for our review and find out if all the tests have passed in our lab.

We appreciate the trust and the transfer of the product for its analysis to the Corsair team:

Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4

Corsair is unrivaled when it comes to presenting a product and with the Corsair Vengeance LPX it would be no less. We find a large volume cardboard box, where on the cover we have the memory image and in large font the model of the RAM memory.

Once we open the bundle we find two cardboard boxes that inside incorporate two RAM memory modules and a fan for 4 memory modules. This accessory is included to help the memories when they reach 3200 mhz.

As we have mentioned, we have a pack of four DDR4 modules of 4GB each, which make a total of 16GB at 3200 Mhz and latency CL16-18-18-36. X with XMP 2.0 support and compatibility with Intel Haswell-E (LGA 2011-3). It is currently available in the colors red, black and blue, and its absolute compatibility for both the X99 and the latest Z170 chipset.

It incorporates its new LPX heatsink that has been designed for high performance and overclocking. It is made of pure aluminum allowing faster thermal dissipation; The eight-layer printed board manages heat and provides superior capacity to increase overclocking. Each integrated circuit is individually selected for maximum performance potential. Overclocking overhead is limited by operating temperature. The unique design of the Vengeance LPX heatsink optimally removes heat from integrated circuits and leads it to your system's cooling path, so you can ask for even more. The heatsink not only makes Vengeance LPX memory perform better… its aggressive yet refined format fits perfectly in presentation systems. Includes three stages to combine with our team: red, blue and silver gray.

I'd like to point out that its low-profile design makes it perfect for smaller spaces, meaning it will be ready when the first Mini-ITX and Micro ATX motherboards for DDR4 hit the market. The small format makes it the perfect choice for smaller chassis or for any system with limited internal space. For example a test with an X99 motherboard.
