Creative Blaze: Unboxing and Design
The Creative Blaze arrive in a cardboard box with the usual dimensions for this type of product. We observe a rather attractive design with a predominance of black and red colors and especially a front window so that we can appreciate the quality of the helmets before taking them home. On the front we appreciate the name and some of its main characteristics while on the back its specifications are detailed.
We open the box and we find the Creative Blaze helmets, a removable microphone and the relevant documentation, among which we find the warranty card and a couple of other brochures that describe its characteristics.
We are already focused on helmets and we come across a design based on plastic that looks very good quality. We see the removable microphone that attaches to the left part of the helmets and that we can remove when we are not using it for greater comfort.
More details about the microphone that has noise cancellation to improve the quality of audio recording, its design is flexible for greater comfort when using it and that we can better adapt it to our needs.
We return to the helmets and we look at the union of the headband to the auricles, it is flexible to facilitate its use and its placement covers the user's head. Of course it is a height adjustable headband so that we can regulate it according to our needs.
We can see that the outside of the headband has the Creative logo screen-printed in a grayish tone that I personally like quite a bit, this already depends on the tastes of each user. We turn to look at the inside of the headband and note that it is padded with sponge for greater comfort during long sessions of use, something that is always appreciated.
Once we have seen all the characteristics of the headband, we will focus on the soul of the helmets, that is, the area that includes the speakers and the pads and that is what will ultimately determine the sound quality of these helmets.
You can check our updated guide to the best PC Headphones for PC .
We can see that the helmets have a completely symmetrical design except that the Sound Blaster logo is printed on both sides in a very intense red color. As we have said before, the union with the headband is articulated and allows a more comfortable use, a good detail in helmets with a contained price.
We turn to look at the pads and we see a fairly large design (40mm) that will cover even the largest ears for better soundproofing of ambient noise. They are very comfortable pads for long sessions of use that will make us forget that we have our helmets on.
For last details of the included control knob, which allows us to regulate the volume and turn on / off the microphone at will and of the mini jack connectors for the speakers and the microphone, no surprise in this regard.
Experience and conclusion
We are facing helmets with a very solid construction and a very ergonomic design so that we can spend many hours together without getting tired of them. The adjustable headband and the articulated connection of this to the speakers makes them very comfortable when using them.
WE RECOMMEND YOU Sound BlasterX Katana is now compatible with the PS4We go on to analyze the audio quality and we realize that it is excellent, both the treble and the bass are very well achieved and little more can we demand from entry-level gaming helmets practically, in this sense the Creative Blaze have pleasantly surprised me as they outperform some of the more expensive helmets I have ever used.
The microphone also has a very remarkable audio recording quality, it also has noise cancellation to mitigate ambient noise so that we can be heard more clearly.
Currently we can find it in European online stores for a tight price of 40 euros.
