Creative is undoubtedly one of the world benchmarks in terms of products related to sound, one of its latest bets is the new Creative Chrono speaker that is based on a very compact design that includes additional features such as a watch alarm clock and an FM radio to offer you many hours of entertainment.

Creative Chrono comes in a fairly small cardboard box since it is a compact product in which a lot of functionality has been concentrated. As we can see, the box has a very attractive design in which it informs us of all the most important characteristics of the product, of course in perfect Spanish so that we do not miss a single detail.

Creative Chrono is a bluetooth speaker that is available in several colors, we have the black model that looks very attractive but can also be bought in red, blue and orange. As we can see, it has a quite youthful appearance but it will be liked by all users or at least most of them.

The entire body of the Creative Chrono is made of very good quality plastic that does not sink when pressed, it has a mesh finish that improves the presence as well as allowing the sound to leave the interior of the equipment without problems. This design is IPX5 splash proof.

On the front we see the LCD screen that tells us the time when it is turned on in addition to all the additional information such as the selected use mode. This screen offers three levels of brightness to suit the tastes of all users. At the top we can see all the control buttons of this great speaker.

At the back we see a handle to transport it in a more comfortable way and a rubber cap that hides various connectors such as the MicroSD slot, the charging port and the 3.5 mm jack connector in case we want to use it by cable and not wirelessly.

Already at the bottom we appreciate the non-slip rubber feet so that it stays well fixed on our table. The FM radio antenna is also hidden here.

Creative Chrono integrates a rechargeable 2200mAh lithium-ion battery that promises an autonomy of 8 hours of operation, this will come in handy in case we want to take it to a party or a getaway outside our home. This battery powers a neodymium speaker that sits alongside a passive woofer to enhance bass. Taking into account Creative's history, we can only hope for the best quality of this speaker, although it will have to be verified. Additionally the speaker design allows you to lay it down for surround sound or put it on the face of the watch for a more directionally focused sound.

The speaker can be used as an FM radio with an included alarm clock, it also has bluetooth 4.2 to use it with our smartphone and an auxiliary audio input of 3.5 mm in case you want to use it wired. Its bluetooth technology has the SBC codec lower than aptX although this should not be a problem. It also has a MicroSD memory card slot, we just have to put one to listen to the music it contains.

Creative Chrono is a bluetooth speaker that manages to stand out on its own merit among all the alternatives offered by the market, its design is very attractive and will make it stand out on our table if it is always there, something that is great given its function alarm clock included. It also has a radio so in a single product we will have the functionality that we would otherwise need to have two or three devices to achieve.

The sound quality is excellent, demonstrating once again the good work of Creative in terms of audio, we are not talking about any brand, so with the purchase of this device we ensure that we have the best possible sound quality for its range of price. It only has one speaker but this one is powerful of enormous quality so you have no problem to beat the quality offered by other dual speaker solutions. Creative is a safe bet, there is no doubt about it.

The battery life has proven to be as promised since we have skimmed the 8 hours, so there should not be many problems to reach them, always depending on the volume of playback used.

Finally we highlight that its management is very simple, it also offers us the possibility of configuring it using its integrated controls or the Sound Blaster Connect application, so in this sense we cannot have any complaints.
