This advanced AIO DeepCool Castle 240 RGB liquid cooling kit has come to us inside a large, high-quality cardboard box. The box is based on the brand's corporate colors and with the best quality printing, as is usual for all products from this manufacturer. DeepCool has taken advantage of the entire surface of the box to put high-quality photos of the product, as well as its most important specifications in several languages.
We open the box and we find the DeepCool Castle 240 RGB very well accommodated and protected by several pieces of high-density foam, each of its parts is wrapped in a plastic bag to offer greater protection. Along with the heatsink we find all the elements and accessories necessary for mounting, both on AMD and Intel platforms.
The manufacturer encloses an installation guide to help us in all the steps, this way we will not get lost. The mounting system is compatible with AMD TR4 / AM4 / AM3 + / AM3 / AM2 + / AM2 / FM2 + / FM2 / FM1 and Intel LGA20XX / LGA1366 / LGA115X platforms.
The DeepCool Castle 240 RGB includes a water block for the CPU, this one is made with a high quality copper base, and very well polished to ensure perfect contact with the IHS of the processor.
In the internal part of the block we find an optimized E-shaped channel design, this allows a greater surface of heat exchange between copper and the refrigerant fluid. This design is special from DeepCool and manages to maximize cooling efficiency.
The pump is also hidden inside the block, made of ceramic and with a design that manages to move the maximum flow of fluid with a very low noise level . This pump rotates at a speed of 2500 RPM and has an estimated life of 120, 000 hours.
At the top of the CPU block has been placed an RGB LED lighting system, this is fully configurable in 16.8 million colors and various light effects to offer the best aesthetics during operation. The block assembly has dimensions of 91mm x 79mm x 71mm.
We now turn to look at the radiator, which has a size of 274 mm x 120 mm x 27 mm and allows the mounting of two 120 mm fans to generate a large air flow. It is a radiator formed by a multitude of aluminum fins, which are very thin and abundant to offer the maximum surface for heat exchange with the air generated by the fans.
The radiator has a high quality plastic and rubber frame, which guarantees a perfect seal to minimize the evaporation of the coolant circulating inside the system.
The radiator and the water block are joined by the corrugated tubes, which come fully closed and sealed at the factory to prevent evaporation of the liquid . These tubes are quite flexible and long, or that greatly facilitates the installation of the kit on our PC.
Inside the cable pack we find a manual lighting regulator that is connected to one of the cable sets included in the bundle.
And a HUB to connect all the fans. This is ideal to save connections on our motherboard and to run all the fans at the same time. Practical, simple and for the whole family.
Finally, we see the two fans included, these have a size of 120 mm and also have highly configurable RGB LED lighting . These fans have the ability to rotate at a speed between 500 and 1800 RPM, generating an air flow of 69.34CFM and a noise of 17.8-30dB. These are fans with a 4-pin connector, which translates into compatibility with PWM technology to automatically adjust its spin speed depending on the temperature of the processor.
These fans feature high-quality hydraulic bearings, resulting in less friction and increased durability. They also have the goodness that they reduce the noise generated during their operation.

LGA 1151 socket installation
For our tests we are going to use the most popular platform on the market, the Intel LGA 1151 with a Gigabyte Z370 motherboard and a Core i7 8700k processor from the Coffee Lake family. The first thing is to prepare the backplate as we show you in the image (screws in position and plastic clips). The thermal paste that we will need later and four nuts to fix the block.
Next we leave you an image of the copper block. To install this platform or the LGA 2066, we will need to place the two adapters for Intel as you see in the image.
We install the backplate, apply thermal paste and assemble the block.
We fix the nuts very well, we connect the cables to the motherboard and to the power supply. And we only have to mount the fans on the block and start it up. How will it perform? Here we go!

To test the actual performance of the heatsink we are going to stress with the powerful Intel Core i7-8700k at stock speed. As usual, our tests consist of 72 uninterrupted hours of work in stock values, since being a ten-core processor and with high frequencies, temperatures can be high.
In this way, we can observe the highest temperature peaks and the average that the heatsink reaches. We must bear in mind that when playing or using other types of software, the temperature will drop dramatically between 7 to 12ºC.
How are we going to measure the processor temperature? For this test we will use the internal sensors of the processor under the supervision of the HWiNFO64 application in its latest version. We believe it is one of the best monitoring software that exists today. Without further delay, we leave you the results obtained:
