A few days ago we were talking about Denuvo and the protection that had fallen in record time for Resident Evil 7. In the last hours, Battlefield 1 also fell due to piracy, although this took about 4 months. It seems that Denuvo continues to receive from all fronts and now a series of messages are being filtered that were sent to them through the contact form and that involve various developers.
Denuvo and his servants to the good of God
Recently, a link that redirects to files in the domain denuvo.com was published in the 4chan forums. Apparently the records are stored there with all the messages sent through the Denuvo public contact form, records from April 25, 2014 to the present.
Among the messages there are for all colors, messages from different developers, complaints from different parties, meaningless messages from suspected hackers and even death threats. There is no record of any private email address, only the contact form and the telephone number of the Denuvo headquarters being available.
The link was already protected, albeit late
Among some of the most interesting messages, we have the record of 343 Industries asking to apply this DRM protection in Halo Wars, dating from 2015. TaleWolrds questions to add Denuvo to Mount & Blade. The Harmonix studio asking to arrange a meeting at the March Game Developers Conference or Capcom making some requests for this protection and Windows 10 UWP (Universal Windows Platform). Among other studios that also appear in the records, Ninja Theory, Codemasters, Relic Entertainment and 505 Games.
It seems incredible that Denuvo, who is responsible for protecting computer games, have their servers to the good of God without any security measure. At the time of writing these lines, the link has already been protected, although it is already a little late.
