The famous overclocker Der8auer has released the results of its Ryzen 3000 performance survey . However, the conclusions are quite negative. Few processors appear to be able to achieve the advertised frequencies, something that can affect AMD's image.

Der8auer overclocker reveals results on Ryzen 3000

After several weeks collecting information, user Der8auer has published the results obtained by almost 3, 000 users.

Ryzen 9 3900X Der8auer CPU Results

Certainly, the resulting frequencies are not very hopeful and the worst case seems to be taken by the Ryzen 9 3900X . AMD's high-end processor has only achieved benchmark frequencies in 5.6% of registered users.

However, on lower budget CPUs the limits have been reached much more easily. Data regarding the Ryzen 5 3600 shows that up to 50% of users have been able to reach maximum frequencies.

The method of analysis that Der8auer used was very delicate and precise. Computers with above-average cooling, powered by software or false data from certain users, were discarded. On the other hand, Cinebench R15 was used for testing and HWInfo (recommended by AMD) to collect the data as accurately as possible.

Not for nothing, Der8auer does not want to generate misunderstandings: it still recommends Ryzen 3000 processors, since they are good CPUs for a good price. However, he is surprised that they are not able to reach the advertised frequencies and that AMD does not offer information on how they have reached them for marketing.

Here we leave you a video from the Der8auer channel (in English) where he breaks down the information he has obtained in the survey:

And you, what do you think about this bad news for AMD ? Do you think it will affect Ryzen 3000 very negatively? Share your ideas in the comment box.
