Der8auer tests the new Core i7 8086K against liquid nitrogen
The popular German overclocker has delidd the new Intel processor to analyze what is hidden under the IHS. Der8auer confirms that this new processor is nothing more than a Core i7 8700K gone from factory laps, something that has been confirmed with its extreme overclocking test under the benefits of liquid nitrogen. Der8auer has managed to bring the Core i7 8086K to a frequency of 7, 244 MHz, a barrier that it has not been able to overcome even with a voltage of 1.9 volts.

Der8auer has not been able to break the record of 7300 MHz that it had previously achieved with the Core i7 8700K, confirming that the new processor does not include improvements at the level of architecture or manufacturing process. Therefore, it can be confirmed that the only difference between the two processors is the frequency that they can reach in their stock configuration, if the user wants to apply manual overlcock, there should be no difference beyond the silicon lottery.
Core i7 8086K is a processor that has been released to celebrate 40 years since the launch of the Intel 8086, the first processor based on the x86 architecture, and which laid the foundation for what current processors are. 40 years have seen the move from a single-core 5MHz processor to a six-core processor capable of 5000MHz.
