Destiny 2 has raised many expectations on its arrival on the PC, Bungie has done an excellent job in terms of performance and we have a high quality port that works really well even on fairly modest computers. During the beta it was already seen that the game is highly optimized in the use of the processor so a Pentium G4560 is enough to guarantee 60 FPS . AMD graphics card users are not as benefited since Destiny 2 does not have support for DirectX 12 so they will suffer more processor overhead and will need something more powerful if they want to keep the 60 FPS rock stable.
The graphic quality that Destiny 2 can show on PC is far superior to what it looks on consoles . First of all, we can access a 4K resolution of 3840 × 2160 pixels as long as we have enough power, this is a great step forward compared to the rescaled 4K and the dynamic resolution of game consoles. Also included are an adjustable field of view and support for 21: 9 monitors and multi-monitor setups .
But without a doubt the biggest difference is in the possibility of playing 60 FPS compared to 30 FPS on consoles, in a game like this the difference is abysmal and the increase in fluidity will make us enjoy much more with our keyboard and mouse . Of course the controls are fully customizable although only in the case of using keyboard and mouse, because if we play with a controller we will have to settle for the default configuration.
As we have mentioned before, the optimization of the game is really good and no hardware is required to the last, my team has a Core i3 4160, a GeForce GTX 770 and 8 GB of DDR3 1600 MHz RAM, which is perfectly capable of holding constant 60 FPS with a high level of graphic detail, one notch below the maximum.
Destiny 2 includes a large number of options for graphic adjustment, which will adapt to the possibilities of all teams. We have options for adjusting anti - aliasing FXAA and SMAA, V-Sync, anisotropy and texture quality, ambient occlusion, depth of field, light sources, chromatic aberration and film grain . In addition, Bungie has included an indicator of the consumption of VRAM so that we can know the amount of graphic memory that the game is using with each level of adjustments.

Destiny 2 has been one of the most anticipated games of the year and it was not for less because it is the direct continuation of the acclaimed Destiny, the game with the highest budget in history and that did not leave anyone indifferent. The first installment was exclusive to consoles but Activision has learned from its mistake and Destiny 2 has come to the PC, later regarding consoles but it promises to be the best version of all and give us hundreds of hours of fun.

A more elaborate campaign and some additional improvements
The first thing we must do when starting the Destiny 2 game is to choose the class of our character, just as in the original game we have three classes: Titan, Hunter and Sorcerer. These classes are divided into three subclasses, of which at first there is only one available and the other two must be unlocked throughout history as we progress through the missions and achieve the objectives.
Destiny 2 has its role-playing part with skills for each of the classes that we will unlock as we level up. These skills are divided into one basic branch and two specific branches of each class. All abilities are unlocked until reaching level 20, after which time we will only unlock the Luminous Engrams.
Destiny 2 bets on a much more elaborate campaign than that of its predecessor, the story of the original game became somewhat confusing, so this time it has opted for a much more traditional recipe in which a very bad bad and a good appear trying to hunt him down to restore peace to the world. This time the villain is called Dominus Ghaul of the Red Legion of the Cabal and our mission is to finish him off to recover the light, the land and the Traveler. Our adventure begins with a descent into hell in which we lose our powers. This campaign is full of cinematographic scenes, moments of tension and dialogues with the different secondary characters.
The campaign game hours are divided into different missions on four planets: Earth, Nessus, IO, and Titan. There are fewer missions compared to Destiny but the duration of each one is longer. The missions are quite varied and there is no shortage of long Halo vehicle excursions. As for the story, it has a well-defined narrative that is easy to follow. The worlds of Destiny 2 are much more integrated than those of the original game and offer us much more freedom when it comes to exploring them and discovering all their secrets.
Something we miss is a more detailed introduction that summarizes the facts of Destiny, since the first installment did not appear on PC as we said before so it would have been nice to present a more elaborate summary to new players. As soon as Destiny 2 starts , we are offered an introductory video of the Destiny universe that seems to us too simple.
The layout of the worlds in Destiny 2 has changed and is now much more integrated so that it is not necessary to go into orbit to change activity or location, it can now be done from the Game Director that allows us to teleport to any of the worlds of Destiny 2. Once the story is over we can go back through each of its worlds in search of new hidden treasures.
Destiny 2's weapons are divided into three categories: kinetic, energy, and power damage weapons. Each of these weapons has its own characteristics that will make them more suitable for a specific use such as killing enemies, bursting shields and many more. In Destiny 2 we also have different types of armor that will help us to light up the pieces of equipment that we like the most. We can also customize the equipment with modifiers to further increase the differentiation of the different elements of weaponry and armor. Of course customization includes the ability to change the look of certain weapons.
In this way, when the game is over, we can go through each of its screens again to find the new objects that only appear when the campaign has ended, some of these will help us to customize the equipment.
Destiny 2 is not spared technical problems and controversy
If we have mentioned that the performance of Destiny 2 on PC is excellent, now we have to talk about the bad part and that is that the Bungie game has enough errors and bugs that harm the gaming experience. To start the game you need a permanent Internet connection and here we find a very serious problem that already occurred with its premiere on consoles. Destiny 2 suffers from disconnections with the servers, something that "kicks us out" and forces us to start the mission again. The problem is so serious that in one afternoon I had to spend 5 or 6 times on the same mission, so reaching the end became an impossible task.
I have also encountered other very serious errors such as doors that do not open and consoles that do not respond when you approach, in this situation the only option was to leave the mission and start again to see if everything works correctly and allows us to continue moving forward. I have also encountered enemies who were literally immobile and did absolutely nothing, especially if I killed them, they reappeared immediately as if nothing had happened.
Another one of the great controversies of Destiny 2 has to do with the introduction of micropayments, in reality they are increasingly more like what we could call macropayments since we can leave us more money than the game itself costs.
This system of macropayments Micropayments in Destiny 2 is based on Luminous Engrams, the game's loot boxes that contain items at random. These Light Engrams are obtained naturally by leveling up so that starting at level 20, we will earn one of them every time we level up. The controversy comes with the other way to get the Light Engrams which is buying them in-game with silver coins, some coins that we can buy with real money.
Among the objects that appear randomly within the Luminous Engrams we have the shaders, one of the most coveted objects in the world of Destiny since they serve to change the color and / or style of the pieces that make up the character's equipment. The controversy is that Destiny 2 shaders are single use, so they disappear after use, unlike the original Destiny.
This means that if we want all the equipment of our character to be based on the same shader, we are going to need many of them, these appear randomly among the objects of the luminous Engrams, so you will already be imagining the large number of these that we will have to get to collect enough shaders. Therefore we are going to have to invest a large number of hours if we want to get enough shaders or go through the box.
We are talking about that micropayments have been put into a game that costs 60 euros to launch with a season pass of 30 euros, gentlemen, this is getting out of hand and I do not know where we are going to get…
Final words and conclusion on Destiny 2
Destiny 2 is a very fun and addictive game that maintains the basic recipe of the original title, Bungie has amply demonstrated that he knows how to make games with extraordinary quality, since he is the studio responsible for the Halo saga, no more and no less. The game offers us moments of great action surrounded by many enemies to riddle with our ammunition.
To all this we add that it is a game that we can take advantage of once the campaign is over, since new objects will be enabled that until then were not available, so we can spend tens of hours going through each of its screens again looking for all the hidden treasures. Nor do we forget a multiplayer mode that will keep the game alive for a long season and give us many more hours of fun, beyond the campaign and the search for all the lost objects.
We recommend reading the best graphics cards on the market
Unfortunately, all that glitters is not gold and Destiny 2 does not get rid of the dark side of micropayments in an AAA game and its multiple technical problems, the latter have easy solutions through updates, but the former we are very afraid will not change shape important. If all these bugs are fixed, you will surely enjoy like a small child with your Nvidia graphics card. Its price is currently 49.95 euros in major online stores.
