It seems that more AMD Ryzen 3000 series processors for laptops have started to leak on the Internet. Last month we first saw the specs for one of the Ryzen 7 3700U's high- end APUs and now we have specs for three more variants (Ryzen 5 3500U, Ryzen 3 3300U, and Ryzen 3 3200U) , all of which belong to the Picasso family..

Ryzen 5 3500U specifications and results

Starting with the specifications of the Ryzen 5 3500U, we are looking at a 4 core and 8 threads processor. The processor would have Radeon Vega Mobile graphics, but the details of this iGPU are not detailed. As it is a successor to the Ryzen 5 2500U, we can expect 8 CUs for the Vega chip, which is equivalent to 512 stream processors. The base frequency is 2.10 GHz and the boost clocks around 3.6-3.7 GHz. The chip has 4 MB of L3 cache and 2 MB of L2 cache. Interestingly, the chip is named Raven Ridge in its device identifier, which would confirm that these parts are actually based on existing Ryzen 2000 U-series designs rather than moving on to the new Zen 2 CPU architecture.

Ryzen 3 3300U

Ryzen 3 3300U comes with 4 cores. There is no support for multi-threading on this processor and therefore falls under the brand name Ryzen series 3. The cache would be the same with clocks running at a base speed of 2.10 GHz. The boost clock is undefined, but we can see that they would be slower than the Ryzen 5 3500U model, since the Ryzen 3 model's unique central score is slightly lower than that of the Ryzen 5 variant. The graphics chip should have a total of 6 CUs.

Ryzen 3 3200U

There are also details of the Ryzen 3 3200U that comes with 2 cores and 4 threads. The chip has a 2.60 GHz clock and we can expect it to have 3.5 GHz 'boost' clocks. As it is the successor to the Ryzen 3 2200U, we can expect the same Vega GPU with 3 CUs, i.e. 192 stream processors. The chip also has 4 MB of L3 cache and 1 MB of L2 cache.

We can expect more details on the aforementioned chips at CES 2019.
