Dropbox finishes giving free backup of photos on mobiles

Free accounts for Dropbox users will have to change the automatic photo backup settings on the mobile app. A change to the system, announced on Wednesday the 22nd, requires those who have not paid a bill to connect to a computer to continue using the "Shipping Camera" option.

According to Dropbox, the change seemed to prevent people from using all the available space (2 GB open floor plan) with up to photos. You can still upload images to the cloud, but these files must be transferred manually by the application. The change occurred on the same day the company released new tools, including the ability to edit the photos from the PC.

What changes are there?

It is important to know that users who do not connect to a Dropbox account computer - or do not migrate to a payment plan - the option is automatically disabled. Therefore, to use the function again, customers will have to decide between one of the actions: pay or connect the PC.

The idea is that users can connect their devices to the computer via Dropbox and use their local storage space to save and edit photos, a feature that has recently been added to the application.

Other new features included in the cloud service include the ability to share desktop folders, create Microsoft Office documents on the phone, scan documents, add comments, and new control tools for sharing files with others.
