The manufacturer EKWB launches a new combined Quantum line based on original D5 pumps. This is the Quantum Kinetic TBE D5.

These units are a refresh and upgrade to the market proven design used on the older generation EK-XRES Revo as the new units have twice as many ports. EK-Quantum products come with sophisticated 5V addressable D-RGB LEDs that can be controlled via the motherboard RGB control software or with the upcoming EK-Connect controller unit.

The most popular cylindrical pump-reserve combo on the market is redesigned, updated, and better in every way. The top now features three G1 / 4 ″ ports, one of which has a pre-installed nickel-plated brass inner tube that helps prevent coolant splashing into the reservoir if the top is to be used as an inlet.

This reduces the chances that air will be sucked in by the pump and that foam will form in the coolant. Either of these ports can also be used to fill the system or to add additional accessories (thermal probes, LEDs, etc.). Three other industry standard G1 / 4 ″ ports are available in the lower combo case.

One of the big differences with previous models is the third available side port that can be used as an optional inlet or as a drain port. A special rubber damper is used to decouple the main pump body from the mounting clip for quiet operation, free of vibration-induced noise.

In addition, it supports horizontal and vertical positioning to facilitate the possibilities of guiding the tubes. EK-Quantum Kinetic TBE D5 combo units are compatible with existing D5 mounts. The tube itself remains unchanged, with a diameter of 60 mm.

The EK-Quantum Kinetic TBE D5 tubular pump and reservoir combos are available in a total of four versions. Two height variants marked 200 and 300 representing the total height of the unit in millimeters, and two material options for each of the size variants. The combined top piece houses an aesthetic ring with the Quantum stick-out that serves as a diffuser for the addressable D-RGB LED below.

EK-Quantum Kinetic TBE tank and pump combos are available for purchase through the EK web store and partner dealer network. The price is $ 189.99 for the 200mm version and $ 209.99 for the 300mm version.
