EKWB released its water block for Asus X570 ROG Crosshair VIII Hero motherboards. As the name suggests, the EK-Quantum Momentum ROG Crosshair VIII Hero D-RGB Monoblock covers not only the CPU, but also the motherboard VRM circuits, thus replacing the factory installed heatsinks.

EKWB used a CNC machine to carve the shape of the base of the copper block, then nickel-plating it. The top cover is carved from acrylic, making it transparent and practical for addressable RGB digital lighting (Supports Aura Sync). These two parts are coupled with a flexible rubber gasket in the middle and are pressure tested to ensure they are not leaking.

EKWB claims that the channels in the block work better so that the distribution of the liquid is done more intelligently. In this way, the fluid in the liquid now starts from the CPU and then is distributed to the sides. This improves, according to EKWB, the thermal performance of the EK-Quantum Momentum ROG Crosshair VIII Hero D-RGB Monoblock system.

Each block comes with a mounting mechanism, CPU thermal paste, thermal pads to place over the VRM circuit, and a back plate for easy installation. In contrast, Block is only compatible with the Asus X570 ROG Crosshair VIII Hero motherboard, which is one of the most advanced motherboards we can find now for AMD's AM4 platform.

The EK-Quantum Momentum ROG Crosshair VIII Hero D-RGB Monoblock block costs about $ 189.09 and is available on the EKWB website.
