These are some of the first images of the HDPlex H3 V2 fanless HTPC chassis. This is a novel chassis that dispenses with any type of air cooling and appeals for a passive heat dissipation system, making it completely silent.

HDPlex H3 V2 uses an advanced passive cooling system

The H3 is between the small H1 and the H5 in terms of size, but it has the height of the H5 and the width of the H1. In total the dimensions of the HDPlex H3 V2 are 270 mm x 264 mm x 93 mm (WxDxH), with a total weight of 5.5 kilograms.

Its main camera can accommodate mini-ITX motherboards and a half-height graphics card no more than 1 slot thick. This can be an important limitation if we wanted to install a powerful GPU in this equipment, unless we get mid and high-end card models that only use one slot, such as the GALAX GTX 1070 Katana .

As in most fanless enclosures, the entire case has an aluminum body, which serves as a heat sink . The chassis is capable of withstanding thermals of up to 80W. As we can see in the image, the CPU cooler uses eight 6mm thick copper tubes, which distributes heat to the body of the aluminum chassis. The enclosure accommodates up to four 2.5-inch 7-mm-thick drives.

HDPlex H3 V2 is available now and priced at $ 240.
