The galax geforce rtx 2080 ti hof breaks the 2.9 ghz barrier
Table of contents:
Last month an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 Ti graphics card had exceeded 2.7 GHz. Achieving this operating frequency is a spectacular achievement, considering that the reference model reaches 1545 MHz. But the overclockers have not stood still. During these last weeks, they have pushed this graphics card (GALAX GeForce RTX 2080 Ti HOF) to its limits.
GALAX GeForce RTX 2080 Ti HOF reaches 2, 940 MHz
Various overclockers, including Rauf, OGS, Rsannino, Phil, Ronaldo, and ZeR0_Dan were invited to the GALAX OC Lab last week. All of them were given a GALAX RTX 2080 Ti graphics card HOF OC LAB edition, which is an RTX 2080 Ti graphics card custom designed exclusively for Liquid Nitrogen overclocking. According to GALAX, a total of 17 records were achieved with the card and 4 records with the RTX Titan at the event.
The GALAX RTX 2080 Ti HOF features a custom designed white color PCB and has a 16 phase VRM for the GPU only. The VRAM has its own power supply and the entire board is powered by an 8-pin triple connector configuration.

Using liquid nitrogen, the card registered a maximum of 2, 940 MHz or 2.94 GHz, which is very close to the 3 GHz barrier. The card was run with GPUPI-1B and scored 2 seconds, 691 ms. With 3DMark Firestrike Extreme, 24, 187 points were obtained on a single card with a frequency of 2.8 GHz (2805 MHz).
Can 3 GHz be achieved with the RTX 2080 Ti? we may have news very soon.
