The ipad 2 is already an obsolete product

Apple defines vintage products as those that have not been manufactured for more than five years, but less than seven years. Thus, all the devices that are included in this list will no longer be repaired either in the Apple Genius Bar or in the technical services authorized by the company.

Now, the very popular iPad 2, after serving eight years since its launch, has been included in this peculiar list of Apple, with what that implies. The only exceptions to the above are in California and Turkey, where, due to local laws, Apple will continue to support the iPad 2 until March 2021. From that date, the second generation of the iPad will finally go from "vintage" to "obsolete" worldwide.

The iPad 2 saw La Luz for the first time in March 2011, and Apple remained on sale as a lower-priced option until March 2014. It highlights its now "huge frames, " and offered a 9.7-inch screen with 132 PPI, A5 chip inside and a main camera of only 0.7 megapixels. Also, it had a 30-pin connector, which is now gone.

If you still have an iPad 2, like a coworker who just renewed it for a Pro model, you shouldn't get rid of it anyway. It could be a good memory to support your best memories by turning it into a digital photo frame.
