Google Messenger compatible with RCS, the new standard
What is RCS?
This acronym may sound a little Chinese to you. RCS is something like rich communication services. SMS are to be replaced by RCS. We are facing a new communication standard that has the support of operators and offers everything that SMS offers more, obviously, many more options. We talk about emojis, sending photos, sharing files and much more. This is just the beginning. Google confesses that its messaging app will take the first step to adopt the RCS standard.
Messenger will be compatible with RCS soon
We are close to making this update official. The guys at Google have already moved some threads with Sprint operators in the US so that it reaches some Nexus and LG next year. However, in Spain we have little data. The operators remain silent and we do not know when RCS will arrive. We imagine that next year, that's for sure, but let's see when.
This new way of communicating would not be bad.
